Step 1: For an even streak free tan, exfoliate prior to application, moisturize any dry areas including elbows, knees, ankles and feet.
Step 2: Shake well. For best results, apply using a tanning mitt in long sweeping motions, starting at the ankles and working your way up. Then move towards your back and apply in the same motion. Ensure all areas are covered before lightly gliding any excess tan from the mitt over your hands and feet.
Step 3: Wash off after 1 hour for a light-to-medium glow, or leave on 2--3 hours for a deep, dark tan. Pat dry and allow skin to fully dry before dressing.
Precautions: For external use only: This product does not contain sunscreen and does not protect against sunburn. Repeated exposure of unprotected skin while tanning may increase the risk of skin ageing, skin cancer and other harmful effects to the skin if you do not burn. Keep out of reach of children: Test on a small area. Do not apply to inflamed or sensitive skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. If swallowed, get medical attention or contact a poison control center right away. Keep away from eyes. If material accidentally enters the eye, rinse well with plenty of clean water. I don't get great the reviews
This was suggested to me for having no bronzer in it, which was a plus. I'm fair skin so I don't like bronzer. I applied it as I've normally applied these types of products and even by the next day there was zero color on my legs. So I applied again being a day later and then I did get color. However there were missed spots even though I used a a mit, and I've done this before. It looked good on my arms, chest and face. However, there was my streaks on my arm and the feet area was just an issue. I know it's also an issue with other products but I did the exfoliation. I did the lotion before and I ended up with huge missed spots on my top of my foot, and then super dark spots when I applied at the same over the whole thing. Definitely would not recommend and non-stuck with two bottles of this.
Great color, but doesn't last long
Great product, doesn't leave streaks and goes on easily. I also really liked it because it dries quickly and didn't make my skin feel sticky. The color was amazing and looked really natural. I only wish it lasted longer. I feel like it fades after a few days.
Bali Body has nailed the violet formula
I've used a bunch of different tanners over the years, and have had better results from cool-tinted ones with blue or violet in the formula. The Bali Body is my new favorite and I will definitely repurchase when I run out. The color is perfect (just let it sit for long enough!) and there's no orange cast whatsoever. What sold me was the mousse though. As opposed to foams, which tend to stay tacky for a long time, the mouse of the Bali Body formula feels lighter on your skin during the dry-down period and not quite as sticky as any others I've tried. I wouldn't say it's totally "dry touch" after application, but it's much, much less sticky and far more breathable. Between the formula and the violet hue, this is a winner.
My new favorite self tanner!
I used the Bali Body 1 Hour express aerated in dark. It was my first time using an aerated foam and I was nervous. It dries quickly. I typically sleep in it on my body and rinse my face off after about an hour. I absolutely love the color I get from this self tanner. I really appreciate how it fades evenly. The dha smells pretty strong but that is part and parcel with most self tanners. This is definitely my go to for self tanning.
