Nothing to rave about

I've been using this conditioner and the corresponding shampoo for the last 8-10 months, I reviewed the shampoo for this line as well. For context I have fine, dense, breakage prone, mid-back 4a hair. I think that for the price this conditioner is just average. And I do use it correctly, according ...to some natural/curly hair stylists online, you should use a lot of water with your conditioner, to emulsify and spread it through the hair easier, but also to get more hydration. But despite doing that, I always need to use like 10 pumps of conditioner minimum, otherwise it has 0 slip, it won't coat my hair entirely, and my hair comes out dry upon rinse. To combat that I've been using hyaluronic acid with every application of this conditioner, which does give more hydration and slip but I don't think that should be necessary for a good result from a $30+ conditioner. It smells ok, like mildly scented lotion? And I can get my hair detangled with it, but I usually go through the conditioner in half the time that I go through the shampoo, which is a little annoying. I hoped a higher end shampoo and conditioner would solve that problem but it really didn't. Also It's really not that moisturizing, the ends of my hair feel a little dry after using it often. And the definition I see during use in the shower doesn't really stay after rinse, like my ends will be defined but the top and roots will be frizzy, which is odd cause my hair doesn't do this while styling. So overall its just okay, definitely not a holy grail, not even something I'd go out of my way to buy again actually, but I'll still use what I have left only because it gets the job done.
