Push the pump 2-3 times to dispense foam into the palm of hand and gently smooth over the skin to cleanse. Rinse thoroughly. For hard-to-remove makeup, use on dry face using dry hands. (For waterproof mascara, an eye makeup remover is recommended.)

I have sensitive skin, and this cleanser was too rough. Some gentle cleansers aren't too exfoliating, but this one is. It is harsh and broke my skin barrier, forming zits in my skin. Do not buy unless you have mature skin.

I have used this product over 20 years. I was first introduced to Sheseido at a high end cosmetic counter. I quickly switched to all of the skin care line. I have required products that are gentle on the sensitive skin. The foaming face wash does everything I expect for my skin type and skincare expectations. This is by far my favorite go to product for everyday use as I typically do not wear any foundation-even at my age.

I bought this trying to find something gentle on my skin. This cleanser is so light and fluffy; I love the way it feels like it has microscopic scrubs scrubbing my face as the bubbles bubble my face. I love how gentle it is on my skin.
