Does the brand test on animals?
- Asked by Cruelty-free
- Official Answer By Sally Hansen - BEHello! At Coty, we do not test our products on animals, and we are committed to ending animal testing across the beauty industry. For more than 25 years, Coty brands have been developing methods that provide a clear alternative to animal testing. For example, Coty now uses innovative predictive assessment tools such as in vitro, in silico models and molecular modelling systems which deliver realistic testing conditions. Coty has also partnered with Cruelty Free International (CFI) and has already achieved Leaping Bunny approval by CFI for our COVERGIRL, Rimmel, Manhattan and Risqué brands – the best assurance that a brand has made a genuine commitment to ending animal testing. Of course, ensuring the safety of our products is a top priority. Every Coty product has been developed, tested, manufactured, and packaged in compliance with the laws and regulations that are applicable in each country in which we sell them. Today, some governments or agencies still require the testing of certain products on animals, in accordance with their local legal and regulatory requirements. We believe strongly that animals should not be used to ensure product safety and that the testing of products on animals has no place in the beauty industry. We will continue working with our partners to achieve this. We hope the information provided here is helpful! If you have any other questions, please reach out to our team. How quickly does it dry completely, including base coat and top coat?
- Asked by Smudge free is a virtue
- Official Answer By Sally Hansen - BEHello! Thank you for your interest in our beautiful Sally Hansen Color Therapy with argan oil! We recommend letting the first coat dry for 2-3 minutes, then repeating that process for the second coat. If you are using a Top Coat, we would suggest the same drying time. To speed things up, you can try our Insta Dri Top Coat with Acrylic Polymer complex that hardens and dries any nail color to the touch in just seconds. We hope this helps! How to purchase Blushed Petal
- Asked by Irene
- Official Answer By Sally Hansen - BEHi there! Thank you for your question. We are sorry to advise that based upon nationwide market trends and purchasing patterns, the decision was made to discontinue our Color Therapy Nail Polish in the shade Blushed Petal. We understand how disappointing it can be when a favorite product or shade is no longer available, but hope you can understand that sound business practice dictated the discontinuation of this product. You may be interested to know that many former users of Color Therapy Nail Polish in the shade Blushed Petal are now enjoying our Color Therapy Nail Polish in the shade Rosy Quartz. AWESOME!
I adore this nail polish! I have always liked Sally Hansen, but their Complete Salon Manicure colors are the BEST! Firstly, the brush is revolutionary...and soooo easy to use and stay "in the lines" for us non-professionals. :) It does not chip as easily as some other brands and you HAVE to love som...

Terrible product
I have used Sally Hansen products for as long as I can remember. I always us the base & topcoat and I was very happy when you combined the two in one step. I purchased Complete Manicure in Wine Not and was very unhappy with it. It chipped worse than cheap polishes, it stained my nails horrible and s...

Horrible
Okay, Sally Hansen is my favorite nail polish. But this particular color is waaay off. In the photo it looks like a really bright shiny pink. It's not. It's actually a dull cream formula. It was really disappointing 😥 The pink is more like a less then faded pink. Just beware of the difference when choosing your color.

I like the color payoff of zen retreat but it stained my nails/skin around them when I took the polish off. Air of calm didn't stain when taken off but the color payoff dint seem as good and the color overall just doesn't look good with my winter pale skin.
Smells really nice and applies beautifully!

I received this for free from Influenster and was genuinely excited to try it. One of my favorite things about it was the scent — I kept catching myself bringing my fingers near my face just to smell it. My favorite shade was the pink one, and the scent was really nice, kind of like lavender. I'm honestly really bad about picking at my nails, and nail polish is usually hard for me to wear because I tend to peel it off, so I couldn't really test long-term wear or longevity. That said, after a few days of wear, it did start to feel a bit harder to take off, which makes me think it holds up decently. Overall, I liked how smooth it applied and how pleasant the experience was, especially the scent. It felt like a nicer, more thoughtful polish experience, even if I'm not the best person to judge wear time.

I applied two layers of the 383 Air of Calm (a light lavender) and three layers of the 458 Zen Re-Treat (a vibrant, greenish-blue) to get a truly solid, opaque color. This was applied over acrylic nails. It took a little effort for the lighter shade to build up, but the finish is smooth and decent. I skipped the base and top coat for this test, keeping it simple to see how the 3-in-1 formula held up. WEAR AND NAIL CARE: I appreciate that they've infused this line with Argan Oil, Biotin, and Vegan Keratin. It sounds beneficial for nail strength, especially since the product promises to help protect nails from breaking and splitting in just seven days. Since I wore this over acrylics, I can't speak to the long-term benefit for natural nails, but the formula did not cause any issues with my extensions. The wear time is comparable to other Sally Hansen polishes I've used, pretty reliable for a few days before any significant chipping starts. THE SCENT FACTOR: Honestly, this is the part I don't quite get. The product heavily features the calming scents, but when I was applying both the Air of Calm and Zen Re-Treat, they smelled exactly like regular nail polish. I couldn't pick up the "lavender bliss" or any other advertised fragrance. If you're buying this specifically for the promised scent, you might be disappointed. For me, the smell was just standard polish fumes, nothing soothing or scented. I'm just being very honest in my review. OVERALL VERDICT: If you are looking for a nice range of colors that give a nice finish and have ingredients meant to strengthen your nails, these polishes should work well. They perform reliably, as I've come to expect from Sally Hansen, Just keep your expectations low for the "scented" aspect. Buy it for the nice color and the nail-strengthening ingredients, not for a relaxing aromatherapy experience.

This polish dries down quickly and has great wear time. I enjoyed the bright color and sparkle. It didn't have a heavy scent and the brush made it easy to apply.
