- Q
I have naturally white hair - no color. Which gloss should I use?
- Asked by Snow White
- Official Answer By Madison Reed - SyndicationWe would recommend the Glassa Clear gloss to add shine. You can also try the Crema Gloss if you have yellowing white or gray hair. This will help neutralize the unwanted yellow tones. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Which gloss will look better with Barletta Brown? Miele or Expresso?
- Asked by Njena
- Official Answer By Madison Reed - SyndicationHello! Great question — it really depends on the tone you’re going for, since both shades can work. Miele will give you a slightly warmer, softer result, while Espresso will lean more cool-toned and deeper. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
If i have light brown hair what shade should be laurachoosing
- Asked by LJ
- Official Answer By Madison Reed - SyndicationThis will depend on the tones you prefer in your hair. If you enjoy golden warmth, our Miele Gloss is a great option. If you prefer cooler tones and would like to add depth, Espresso is an excellent choice. If your goal is to reduce unwanted warmth without deepening the overall shade, Crema would be the best fit. In fact, all of our Glosses can be used on light brown hair—it simply comes down to the tones you’d like to enhance or neutralize. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Will this make my white hair go violet?
- Asked by Jilly
- Official Answer By Madison Reed - SyndicationNo, this is our Espresso Gloss. It may lightly tint grays to a cooler brown tone. The Gloss is designed to be applied over already colored hair and is best used to enhance and refresh faded tone between color applications. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Does this rinse clear?
- Asked by m
- Official Answer By Madison Reed - SyndicationThis shade will not rinse clear as it is a deeper tone designed to reduce warm tones in the hair. Once applied and washed it will then gradually fade with each wash and this is when the color will wash out clear. Was this answer helpful to you

Worked out great!
After originally dyeing my hair Bolzano Brown and it being way too red, I tried the Espresso gloss to tone down the red. Worked out great. Took a lot of the red out and made my hair a nice dark brown. Thank you Madison Reed!

horrible results
I tried the clear glossa because my sister raved about it; also I loved my results with the Bologna Blonde color. Unfortunately, the glossa destroyed my hair, it's now broken and dried out. Removed any natural shine I had. It also lightened the color by at least two shades. Wish I'd never tried this...

Not exactly what I wanted
Hair Type Straight Hair
I was hoping this product would give my natural hair a nice shine. Sadly, I have not seen any shine. Perhaps on color treated hair the product would work well.

I'm really happy with the results -- it got rid of all the bits of brassiness in my hair.
Strong chemical odor + uncertain results
Reviewed at

I recently tried this product on my Bologna-Blonde colored hair to take out some of the brassiness. The first impact was its strong, unpleasant chemical odor, which is in strong contrast to Madison Reed's other products. The result was also mixed: I'm unsure this made any difference in my hair hue. Therefore I will not purchase again.
This has no gloss whatsoever

I liked nothing about this product. I only use half of a tube left my hair red and brassy. I have 5 tubes of this product left, which I will throw away.
