I've used Nexxus for YEARS, and I've always loved it. This shampoo, however, is an anomaly. I don't care for the scent, it didn't lather, my hair was dried out and straw-like, and I didn't notice any color protection. I will not purchase this again.

I actually tried the 13.5 oz, which isn't listed. I've used Nexxus most of my life and have had few complaints. However, I'm not a fan of Color Assure and won't purchase again. The conditioner didn't leave my hair feeling soft and healthy, as one would expect a conditioner to do. Instead, it felt very dry. It didn't keep my color vibrant either.

I've been using Nexxus Color Assure shampoo and conditioner for a couple years and have loved it. The most recent bottle of conditioner I purchased smells different and caused me to develop a rash on my face and neck where my wet hair was touching. I checked the ingredients against my old bottle and they are different. I wish the formula had not been changed as I can no longer use this product. Very disappointed.
My New Top Pick
I've had colored hair/red hair for the last 9 years. I've used drugstore hair care, I've used high end. This shampoo and conditioner is my favorite, without hesitation. I will say this, I do wish they were more affordable. I have a lot of hair, and it has always been the kind of hair (long before hair dye was introduced) that just soaks up product. So I go through it quicker than the average person and therefore I have to repurchase it more frequently. So this being not the highest I've tried but a higher price tag is definitely something I wish was different. But for now I will absolutely try to catch a sale when I can because this stuff is awesome. It cleanses the hair without stripping it too much. I buy the bulk size and I'm really glad there's a pump to make it even easier to use in the shower. It lathers a lot, but again doesn't over strip the hair. And I'm not sure what's in this fragrance but it's absolutely fantastic. It's feminine, but sweet. It's something you have to experience, the fragrance on this is out of this world good. Last but certainly not least I do find it helps me get longevity out of my semi permanent color, but still gives me a great clean. If that price was lower I'd be such a happy gal right now, but for now I'll put up with the cost because it's definitely worth the results I get. Highly recommend.
