Gentle Exfoliating Body Polish for Soft, Hydrated Skin

I have been really enjoying working this body scrub into my regular rotation of skincare products. The first thing that stands out about this body polish is the scent. It smells so good and has a fresh, slightly floral fragrance from the hibiscus and jasmine but also a noticeably citrusy scent from ...the grapefruit. The combination of fragrances makes for a super unique blend but it doesn't feel too strong or irritating which I really appreciate in any type of scented product. It's noticeable in a subtle way without being overwhelming or lingering too long. The texture is another highlight for me. It uses natural white sugar, so it has that gritty feel at first, which does a great job of exfoliating, but it softens and dissolves as you go. It feels effective without being too harsh on my skin. After rinsing it off, my skin looks smoother and feels soft and hydrated instead of irritated or stripped of moisture. I also really like the list of ingredients here. It includes prickly pear oil, which I love seeing in anything meant to moisturize, along with safflower seed oil, shea butter, jojoba seed oil, and glycerin. It feels like it does more than just exfoliate my skin. It is actually seems to hydrate my skin and help it absorb and hold onto moisture. The color of this body polish is super vibrant, which caught my attention right away, especially since it says that it doesn't contain any synthetic dyes. Because of how bright it is, I was actually a little unsure at first and concerned that it might leave a tint behind on my skin especially with how fair I am, but it rinsed completely clean without any staining. My skin just looked glowy and refreshed after using it. The jar itself is simple but sturdy, with a secure screw top that makes it easy to use. The container keeps everything securely inside, as well as, preventing it from drying out and keeping the scrub fresh. It's also a pretty generous size, so it does not feel like something that will run out quickly even with regular, all-over use. The one major thing I was a bit disappointed with when it arrived is that the top was not fully screwed on all the way so there was quite a bit of oil that ended up leaking out on the box it was in and on the outside of the jar. Fortunately, most of the product was still in the jar so it didn't all get wasted or make a complete mess. However, I would strongly recommend making sure the box is upright when you open it and carefully take it out just in case the lid is not securely on. Other than that, I was really happy with this product. This polish has been great for exfoliating my skin and sloughing away areas of dry skin before shaving. It also does a great job of prepping my skin before applying a self tanner for a smooth, even application. Overall, it leaves my skin feeling clean, smooth, and hydrated, and the balance of exfoliation and moisture makes it one that easily fits in with my skincare routine.
