A decent fragrance but a bit weak once settled

I received the Valentino Uomo Born in Roma Extradose fragrance in exchange for my honest review. The Valentino Uomo Born in Roma Extraadose is a newer addition to their Born in Roma collection. It promises an intense fragrance experience that lingers on the body due to its high concentration. You ge...t the signature Valentino mountainous crater rock studded bottle but in a luminous stunning black glass casing. The sharp contrast of the vibrant black against the hot pink encapsulates the punk and passion of Valentino's brand. And creates an interesting edgy look for the bottle that makes it stand above the rest of any fragrance collection. The initial spray of this fragrance opens with a fresh citrus spiced profile. It's not peppery and flat but carries uplifting notes of the mandarin and bergamot essences to welcome you without melodramatic pretense. As this settles on my clothes there is a hardier woodsy floral warmth thankful to the Guaic wood and lavadin heart. This blends into a warm intensity that complements my body. Now as for staying power, l'd say the projection of this cologne is moderate-average. It doesn't announce itself if you're a more delicate spritzer (I.e like me I stick to 2-3) but once even slightly nearby for minutes it's unmistakable. It doesn't overstay it's welcome and it's more hugging to the body than pushing out to others. And that was my case in my more conservative application. The perception and/or sillage on my skin was of the base note lavadin heart with hints of freshness. The longevity of this was not long enough for me. It lasted a few hours before it became mostly unnoticeable to my nose. Which I understand eventually will be the case. But it was a bit too quick in my opinion. It's a great cooler season fragrance for sure. And wearable for anyone who enjoys deep notes without the one dimensional spice typical in such colognes.
