Glad I took a chance!
I was hesitant about purchasing this brush after reading all the negative reviews, but decided to take a chance on it.... so happy I did! This brush worked great for me on the second try. I was unsuccessful the first time and hugely successful the second. Here is what I did wrong on the first round ...

Sun In Lemon Fresh, but with a brush and purple
I pretty much bought this because I already use a lot of dpHUE products and Justin Anderson is an amazing stylist and I'm a fan of Kristin Cavallari. Take the brand and celebrity away, and it's just an expensive bottle of the Sun In we all used to turn our hair orange as kids. Kristin Cavallari's In...

Great for the beach
Reviewed at

Keep this in my beach bag with a small hand mirror and apply around frame of face and to connect where roots have grown out. Just let the sun work its magic while it dries. Have never tried it using blow dryer but for outside in natural sun it gave the most beautiful subtle highlights and refreshed my color.
BIG Disappontment

Love the concept of this product&thought it would be great like the other dpHue products & considering the creator is like a blonde highlight guru…BUT I've done it twice on my hair that has blonde highlights &feel like there's barely any color lift & the amount of heat needed to even get color change is insane. I sat w my blow dryer for several minutes, until I couldn't withstand anymore & basically nothing. Doesn't seem like advertising as heat activated, is really representing the product being sold. I haven't tried the sun yet but so far seems like a major fail & not cheap for a product that comes in a small amount and doesn't work You should be more specific on amount of heat & approx time to activate. Also, advertising as a Blonding Brush, but expecting people to just use on parts of hair that were previously highlighted is a joke. The way this product is presented is as if it's a touch up for blonde highlights, so if it's not going to lift color on area of hair that's grown out, seems like you need to use a diff marketing angle. I'll be returning to Ulta. It does not do what you portray it to👎🏼
Disappointed
Love the concept of this product&thought it would be great like the other dpHue products & considering the creator is like a blonde highlight guru…BUT I've done it twice on my dirty blonde hair that I get a blonde weave on regularly &feel like there's barely any color lift. Then, the amount of heat needed to even get color change with a blow dryer is insane. I sat w my blow dryer for several minutes, until I couldn't withstand anymore or risk frying my hair and skin; & basically nothing changed. Doesn't seem like advertising as heat activated is really representing the product being sold. I haven't tried the sun yet but so far seems like a major fail & not cheap for a product that comes in a small amount and doesn't work Also seems like directions could use some more details bc if you use as follows it does nothing. How long should it take to life color w a blow dryer?? The mtg should specify that, even if it approx
Better Than Average
My hair is salt n pepper w gold blonde highlights. I'm able to get lighter blonde streaks when I use this brush. If I can't be in the sun that long, I use a flat iron to start the heat activation. It doesn't lighten immediately, but gets lighter over the next few hours.
Didn't like my thin hair

Had to apply several applications around the same hairs in order for it to actually start to show even with the heat and sunlight
