My New Years resolution this year was to up my hair game. I have no time and zero hair styling ability. The last ten years of my life have barely included a hairbrush #pnwstyle #momlife. Think caught in a howling rainstorm, that's pretty much my signature hairstyle. Anyway, my quest took me to YouTube for some quick and easy hair styling tips. These bobby pins have been exactly what I needed to accomplish a "more put together" look. They blend in with my ultra light, blond hair, hold my very thin, fine, hair in place, all day, and don't bend out of shape easily. I'm an elementary school teacher. So, I needed something that would stay put no matter what the day would bring. Before buying these I tried out some cheap, dollar store, bobby pins. They were so flimsy that some of them stretched out and fell out before I left the house in the morning. I'm very happy with these bobby pins. They've helped me keep one of my resolutions. Now if they could only help me loose weight.
I regularly use pins in updos for my long fine thin hair, and I've tried a lot of brands. These visually looked great and had a nice weight to them, but since they were in a sealed bag I couldn't test out their open/close resistance before buying. Once I put these in my hair I had a very difficult time getting them out without ripping out strands of hair. I tried them in a few different hairstyles to see if they would work better in certain ways, but they ripped out my hair (with careful removal) during all uses. By the time I decided they weren't going to work, I had lost a few so I couldn't return them to the store. I think these would probably work really well in thick/coarse hair and would provide excellent holding power, but if you have fragile hair please be careful.

I use Bobby pins every day, with daily use over the past 45 days they havent retained their shape and occasionally will fall out of my hair half way through the day. I have Goody bobby pins that I've owned for two yrs that are still going strong. I am going to return these. They were less than $4 w coupon and normally I don't return products that cost so little. But I'm returning to make a point, these are not good. Maybe ok if you use them VERY little, but not for daily use.

This is a bad Bobby pin. It does that think where the two sides don't match up and they form an 'x' making it impossible to use. Absolute garbage. For real.

They feel like really Bougie Bobbie pins. They glide through the hair and don't snag
Terrible from Massachusetts
These are terrible. They literally don't do anything.

I wasn't sure about paying more for something I can get at the dollar store, bit these babies are worth it. They are very tight so they hold my thin hair better than any others I've used. Well worth the extra few bucks.

It's hard to use, they are very tight. Not the best Bobby pins. Can get better for less money

These are better than the cheap Bobbi pins, they don't fold when using, very sturdy!

Bought these pins for updo's based on the color. But upon trying to use them I found the pins are hard to open and then once opened , they twist and can't be slid into the hair - you have to really 'work' to hold them open and untwisted with one hand to get them in. Too much of a hassle - wish I'd never bought them.

keeps your hair out of your face and in place!

These are not usable because they are bright gold and not brown. I was so confused when they arrived. Debating taking them back or if it's worth the hassle.

I really want to like these, but I'm wondering if ol' faithful Goody might be better. They grip nicely, but they stretch out faster than Goody... a lot of them stretch out after first use. I'm not sure if I like these, but for the price point I thought I would be sure

Very sturdy. Stays in hair all day without slipping. Length could be a bit longer but overall gets the job done. Also, the smooth shinny protective gloss coating is perfect for a sensitive scalp and did not irritate mine at all like most other pins do.

These have a great grippy texture. They are brown on the top but gold on the bottom, so just keep that in mind.

I used these pins to secure a wig that I wore to the disco. It stayed on and didn't tear out my hair or ruin the wig when I removed them.

I bought these with the intention of having bobby pins that would blend into my brunette hair. These are bright gold on the flat side that sticks out! Not very subtle. I ended up returning these.

These bobby pins are Ok, I guess. I can probably buy them at a cheaper price at any other place

I have really long, fine, thin hair. I usually wear my hair up in a bun, but when it's down, I mostly pin it out of my face. I normally have to use 4 pins on each side as the Bobby pins I usually use slip right out and don't hold my hair into place. I bought these Bobby pins in a hurry for a wedding and figured they probably wouldn't work, but boy was I surprised. I curled my hair and used 2 on each side, my hair did not move all night. I will buy these every time I need Bobby pins from now on.
