I was a little confused by the photos and description of Nocturna. It's described as "berry veil" and the photos show a mauve with just a hint of a purplish color. It was just ok
I thought this would be more jelly like. Maybe I'm naive but it's in the name so I expected something different. It's not exactly like lipstick but basically the same. I do like the color and I mix it with some Vaseline to make it more sheer and moisturizing. I bought it on sale so that was a definite plus and I'd probably try a different color if it was on sale again but not for full price
Meh, not bad, not great
First off, these have way more pigment than the photos show - not a bad thing! But the color catches on dry parts of your lips making the color uneven/darker in some spots. The gloss is pretty but the texture is a bit heavy. Packing feels and looks luxury. There are better lipsticks out there though.
Great feeling, long lasting
Im so happy I tried this lipstick, I'm quickly buying a second shade. I hate the feeling of something on my lips, this feels like a great moisturizing chapstick but it isnt greasy or overly glossy. My lips feely hydrated and the color payoff is great. My favorite part is that it dries down really nice, almost like a stain, even after its worn off, its not patchy and gross looking like a lot of lipsticks will be, this just looks less glossy, with a hint of an evenly distributed lip tint. If youre sensitive to sent this might not be for you, but I like the coconut scent and it fades pretty quickly.
Perfect for everyday wear!
Love this lipstick! Definitely isn't really a jelly feel or look, more like a satin. BUT, it feels awesome and looks even better. I wear shade Dea and I feel like it would look great on many skin tones that are a bit more beutral or cool. It's a bit darker, maybe light brown undertone, similar to Fenty Beauty's Stunna Lip Paint shade Uncuffed which I love. My skin tone is between neutral and cool, so the cooler undertone of this lipstick works well. Love that I can layer it on or keep it simple with one layer. This is also great for sensitive lips I think. I can only wear Chapstick brand of chapstick without getting chapped or dry. This lipstick has been a life saver during the dry, cold winters. But it will play nice over a plain/clear chapstick.
Did not like
Unfortunately the product partially melted since i live in Florida. The colors did not match the swatches and when applied it felt like it was going to break off. Sadly did not work for me at all.
