Warning to those that are protein sensitive.

This review is for both BeGentle, Be Kind Aloe + Oat Milk Ultra Soothing Fragrance-FreeHypoallergenic Shampoo and BeGentle, Be Kind Aloe+ Oat Milk Ultra Soothing Fragrance-FreeHypoallergenic Conditioner I don't necessarily follow the CGM, but I do like to use the portals to check the safety of the ...ingredients, both these are Curly-Girl approved, but before I made my complete decision I contacted support from Briogeo and asked if this had any proteins or coconut oil, the agent told me that those ingredients weren't in any of these products, I thought for sure this was exactly what I was looking for.  First the shampoo, The shampoo did lather nicely, however, it made the top part of my hair a ratted mess, It smelled and felt like I was using a bar of Ivory soap, I did not like the feel at all. The Conditioner felt nice going on, it took the ratted mess out some, It felt silky in the shower and had some slip to it.  I tried to style my hair with a blow dryer on the first occasion that I used these products, it felt like a waxy mess, leaving my hair dull, with no shine whatsoever.  I tried it again on my next wash, same things happened in the shower, this time I air-dried, and my hair was again, dull, with a straw-like feeling. this usually only happens with protein products, I did some research and found that Oats can act like a protein to people like me who are protein-sensitive. I wish the agent in Briogeo would have known that information and told me about it. So now I am stuck with some rough, straw-looking dull hair, Sadly protein overload lasted awhile on me.  I would not recommend this to anyone who is protein-sensitive or who has fine/thin wavy hair.
