Q
Im using Alpha Arbutin (? Spelling) HA. Do I apply this before or after? TY
Asked by Lucy
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there, we'd recommend layering 2 water-based serums based on priority of concern. If dark spots/brightening is your concern, layer Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA first. If Dullness/Antioxidant support is your primary concern, we'd reccomend layering Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% first. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can I apply the serum after using the glycolic acid?
Asked by Mya
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there, yes you can apply Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% after Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner as it is an indirect form of Vitamin C.Was this answer helpful to you
Q
could i mix a couple drops of this in with my moisturizer instead of using it alone?
Asked by m
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi! Unfortunately, it is difficult for us to comment on the pairing or mixing of our products with those of other brands. We recommend consulting with your doctor/dermatologist, gradually incorporating one new product into your regimen at a time, and applying test patches first to see what works best for your skin. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
how would I layer this product vitamin C, with hyaluronic acid and salicylic acid?
Asked by kera
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there! Since Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% is a Vitamin C product, we do not recommend using it alongside another Vitamin C product. We suggest applying Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 first, followed by Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%. To avoid irritation, please use Salicylic Acid 2% Solution and Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% at alternate times. Was this answer helpful to you

I had such good results with the Vitamin C powder from The Ordinary that I didn't think anything could top it. After a year of constant use (along with daily use of the Mineral Factors and twice weekly application of the AHA peeling solution), my skin was so bright, so clear and any old hyperpigment...

Be careful with this at night time!

The product itself seems to work well for my skin (Dry-sensitive), leaving it smooth and glassy, which a reduction in the appearance of sunspots. HOWEVER, be careful using this at night/bed time. It has left black bleach marks all over my white pillowcases and sheets from it rubbing off my face onto...

I've been using this product consistently for the past year and have really noticed a reduction in my skin's hyperpigmentation from acne scarring. I can't use traditional vitamin c products due to sensitivity and perioral dermatitis but this is the only product my skin absolutely loves! I think it works amazing as a vitamin c for those with sensitive skin.

I bought this product a few months ago after switching from the 100% L-Ascorbic Acid Powder. I switched to the Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% as it is an indirect Vitamin C product which allowed me to combine it with a lot of other products. I have definitely noticed my skin becoming clearer in terms of texture and become more radiant, less dull. I will continue to use this product. If you have oily or normal skin, I would recommend this product. If you have dry skin like my fiance, I would recommend the Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F. Please remember you can't use this with Niacinamide products.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

The product gives an instant glow thanks to a layer of shine. I don't know how to describe it, so I put a picture of my hand, where you can see the edges of the product. The product ist completely dry on the picture! I really like the shine even though I feel like it gets lost after I apply my moisturizer. Anyhow the layer might feel odd to some. Personally I don't mind it and the feeling also goes away after applying moisturizer
