Nutty, Bold & a Bit High-Maintenance

When I first sprayed Mugler's Angel Stellar Lumineuse, it reminded me of another fragrance from the brand — Angel Muse. After checking my collection, I realized that while they're not identical, they share a similar opening. Both are unique flankers within the Mugler line and stand out in their own ...ways. Angel Muse is a scent I like to wear in the winter when I want something bold and noticeable, so it's no surprise I enjoyed Angel Stellar Lumineuse too. Angel Stellar Lumineuse opens with a rich, nutty note that immediately brought Angel Muse to mind. However, they take different paths. Angel Muse has that signature Nutella-like chocolate note — creamy and decadent — which makes it stand out as something truly one-of-a-kind. I won't go too deep into Angel Muse here, but I wanted to point out that both scents feel taste-specific and niche in a way that I personally enjoy from this brand. What makes Angel Stellar Lumineuse distinct is its heavy pistachio note, which I happen to really like. This isn't your typical mainstream sweet pistachio — it leans much more nutty. Around 15 minutes in, the patchouli starts to show up. Normally I don't get along with patchouli, but here it's surprisingly wearable. It's subdued, and the nutty note helps round it out so it doesn't feel overpowering. I also picked up a faint citrus nuance in the base around this time. By the 30-minute mark, the fragrance transforms into a beautifully nutty, slightly sweet scent with a touch of smokiness — it's a truly unique drydown. Very noticeable. - Longevity: 9/10 – Lasted about 14 hours on my skin, and the scent evolved beautifully. - Projection: 9/10 – It projects strongly and might be too much for sensitive noses, but it didn't give me a headache. I really enjoyed it. Overall, I'd rate this a 3.5/5. The scent itself is great, but I really dislike the packaging. I prefer bottles that stand upright so I can display them neatly on my vanity. On top of that, the bottle picks up fingerprints way too easily — especially on the mirrored cap, which kind of ruins the sleek look.
