I have very thick, very dense, very dry, high porosity Type 4 hair. Recently did the big chop and trying to learn how to take care of my hair without chemical treatments and heat. Keeping my hair moisturized continued to be my biggest battle even with an intense moisturizing and conditioning regimen.... My hair is always dry again after a few hours. BUT NOT ANYMORE Y'ALL. I'm telling you. I caved and bought Qehmet product. I used it for the first time on Monday, it's now Thursday and my hair has not been dry since that first application. My hair has literally never been moisturized for an entire day before, let alone 3 days! It has been consistently moisturized, soft, and shiny and just when I was starting to think it wasn't possible. My only con is that there is a slight greasy feel to my hair when using this product; however, I used too much product initially so that maybe part of the reason why. If you're thinking about buying: -Read the details before buying their products. Some are for thick hair, others fine. Some for high porosity, others medium/low. Qehmet also has information on their website that tells you what products to use based on your hair type (type 3/4/porosity/density). So read up a little first or you may have a bad time. -The jars are relatively small, especially compared to the cost. That was the biggest reason I held off on buying, but you really do not need to use a lot of product and you won't need to keep applying for multiple times day.
