A top tip when dying eyebrows: Apply the mask while the dye is sitting, and rinse both together in the shower for a quick, convenient experience.

Q
does it peel the skin
Asked by jen
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there! AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution is an at-home exfoliating facial for experienced users seeking to improve texture, reduce pore congestion, and target uneven skin tone. It works by using alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) to exfoliate the skin's surface and penetrate into the pores. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you

Immediate results!

Over the past few years, I've been trying to get rid of the little "blackheads" on my nose. I've tried everything from cleansers, scrub masks, peel masks, blackhead strips, etc. Then I learned they weren't even blackheads, but sebaceous filaments! I found this brand on tiktok (go figure), and I was ...

So far so good

I did a test spot on my cheek like the employee suggested. I dont have sensitive skin at all and the test soot did fine after 8 minutes. Put it on my whole face and in certain areas where i am more oily or prone to breakouts (chin, mainly) did have a slight burn, nothing like when i use my amazonian clay mask mixed with apple code vineage though. Its a slight tingle. After washing it off my skin felt AMAZING! i used Caudalie serum and tatcha skin cream afterwards and i love it. I really hope this will keep my hormonal/PMS acne at bay. Time will tell!!

I get facials but have an event coming up and wanted to try something DIY. I found The Ordinary on a beauty rated site and bought it. The minute I rinsed it off I could feel how hydrated my skin was and it just drank in my moisturizer. I am a "woman of a certain age" and have sensitive skin so I think this was a great choice. I will buy it again.

Works fine on sensitive skin

I was hesitant to try this but I left it on for about 7 minutes before it started to sting. My face wasn't red or angry and it did feel smooth the next day. The second time I left it on for the full 10 minutes and didn't have a bad reaction (this was a week later) so I'm confidant I can incorporate this into a weekly routine. I do not apply anything afterwards except the Estée Lauder night serum and a rich night cream. It's just kind of a pain waiting for 10 minutes when I could use a physical exfoliation and be done with my night routine so that's really my only complaint.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Let me preface this by saying my skin is NOT sensitive. I can brush my cheek with rubbing alcohol and not even flinch, but this stuff stings even my tough skin. So those with sensitive skin may want to pass. I also worked my way up to using this by starting with the 5% lactic acid for a month (which felt like water), then the 10% lactic acid (which I use two or three times a week). This is for a DEEP cleanse. I use it around once a month, or if my skin is looking especially rough. I follow the instructions for the maximum time of 10 minutes before rinsing it off and I always walk away with baby smooth skin. I follow it up with CosRX snail mucin, a nice gentle essence, and a lightweight moisturizer to help soothe the skin and prevent any redness. I've never gotten a chemical burn like others report, but I'm also careful not to overdo it or use physical exfoliation with it. And I make sure to avoid any other actives like retinol, retinoids, or Vitamin C after. This is POWERFUL stuff, so be careful, follow the instructions, and you will be rewarded with noticeably softer skin.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
