To lock the handle, swivel the handle until triangle aligns with "LOCK." Slide the button into the "lock" position. Test the handle to ensure it is firmly locked in place.
To unlock, simply slide the button to the "unlock" position. The handle should rotate freely.
To lock the Marcel Wand rotate the wand until the notch inside the wand's tip aligns with the tab (P) on the rear of the wand lock. Push the wand lock into place so it is flush against the lip of the Marcel Wand. Test the wand to ensure it is firmly in place.
To unlock the Marcel Wand,
pull the wand lock toward the iron's front so the locking tab is completely
pulled out of the Marcel Wand. The Marcel Wand should rotate freely.
Styling Tips
- Hair should be clean and dried completely before using any styling tool.
- Comb out a 2-inch section of hair and place hair ends between the barrel and clamp. The clamp should be on top of the hair.
- Hold the curling iron handle, roll under for a curl and over for a flip.
- Leave the iron in fine hair for 5 to 8 seconds, and 10 to 15 seconds for thick hair.
- Lift Marcel Wand to release hair.
- Allow curls to cool before combing or brushing.
- When styling is complete, slide the "On/Off" Switch to the "Off" position.
- Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before storing.

My hair is VERY short. A 3/4" barrel barely fits & a 1/2" barrel leaves it way too curly. Is the 5/8" the only answer? And does any other curling iron come in that size?

If you're a true trained professional with an open mind for new and older technics you'll understand the marcel. This kind of iron is versatile and offers a great way to curl the hair without marking it and without damaging the ends as the ends are the last piece of hair you'll pinch in the barrel. Serious professionals will use techniques clients can't do at home. 😉

I would never recommend this product unless someone else is using it to curl your hair. Very difficult to use for yourself. I burned my hand and fingers more in the short time I had it than I ever did in all the years I had other curling irons. I would have given it negative stars if I could have. Whoever designed this must not use it! I felt like I was coordinated until I tried using this product.
This is the best curling iron
I got this curling iron 10 years ago. It finally died on me a couple month ago. I'm defitnetly purchasing another one. Yes, it was difficult to handle and I burned myself many times but with practice I learned how to use it. This is the only curling iron that holds my curl for hours without any products like spray or mouse. Maybe it would even hold for 2 days if I took care of my curls at bebedtimeIf you want a curling iron and curls to last you this is the one.
