Does it vibrate all the time or do you have to turn it off and on? I just used mine for the first time and the plates did not vibrate.

Not worth the money
I own the classic bio and love it so much. Got this one thinking it would be amazing with the plates but it's not as good as my old classic one

The only straightener I will ever use
I previously had a super old chi with silver titanium plates (if anyone remembers those exisiting) I was worried a new straightener wouldnt work as well becsuse the plates werent as long as my previous chi. This bio ionic straightener blew my mind away. My hair went from taking over an hour to straighten to just 30 mintutes. The vibrating plates defintely do something because I only use it on that mode now and I am not going back to a regular straightener. I've had mine for 6 years and it still heats up within seconds. The heat hold has dropped only a little bit, sometimes it drops by 5 degrees after ive been using it for a bit but not enough that it affects my hair and it heats back up quickly as soon as the pass is done. I love how effective it is so my heat damage is actually lessnened because the amount of passes needed is so little. I will say a straightener will not fix all of your hair issues and you must prep it right and use finishing products if you want your hair to stay straight, this product isn't magic. But with the combo of right products including brushing your hair before and using a fine tooth comb while straightening, this straightener really changed my life. Its also extremely light which is great for traveling or if you have a disability, my arm doesnt tire as quickly with this tool as it does for other heavier hot tools. I waited for this to go on sale and stacked it with a prestige coupon to get it for under $150 and it was worth it even just the sale price alone. If you have difficult curly frizzy hair, this is the straigtnener for you.
This straightener lasts forever!
Ive had this since 2019 and its still going, if you want a durable straightner thay works this one is the one.

I get what they were trying to do with the vibrating plates option but i dont find that it helps with anything in particular. I dont notice more shine nor does my hair last straight all day. It kinda snags my hair as well. Super disappointed in this , it just collects dust and i prefer my $30 Remington over this.
