Most Helpful Positive Review good for what its for!! i know that this seems like a strange purchase to make - a sponge just for powders😳? but it was on sale, and my setting powder constantly makes me look cakey and dry so i thought why not. i'm pleasantly surprised! i used the original real techniques sponge (the orange one) for the rest of my face (including setting powder) and this one takes it the next step up. i know its a niche product to have, but the fibers pick up a lot of product then spread it nicely - it also doesn't cake up into the fibers and get stuck and gross there. my undereyes and sides of my nose look smoother and more clean now:) my only two problems are 1. its a little stiffer than the original sponge and 2. the one i received seems a little strangely shapen. i can tell it was meant to be the same shape as the original, but i think it was stuffed into its packaging roughly because it has a weird crease and seems a little smushed. it still does the job well and it doesn't hinder me too much, so i don't really care. def worth it on sale imo😼
Most Helpful Critical Review My Beauty Blender is Still #1 10+ years Beauty Blender user. I carry a powder compact in my purse for touch ups. I usually accompany that with my Beauty Blender. I saw this product on the shelf at Ulta and thought I should give it a try. I did... I used it to bake and touch-up my makeup throughout the day with my compact. It works fine. I personally prefer tools that has more than 1 use, so to have a sponge dedicated only to powder doesn't really fit my style of makeup. BUT, it does do a great job with powders.
I don't think that I would repurchase this or recommend this to anyone over a Beauty Blender.

I use this to apply powder and concealer. Using this amps up the coverage and doesn't absorb product like other sponges. It's become a staple.
Very disappointed 1

This is the first Real Techniques product I've returned. This sponge is more stiff than the original which is not something I want for applying powder on the delicate under eye area. The edge is also more rigid and there is a seam going through the flat side. Powder does not go on evenly and needs to be blended out using a finger or brush.
Awesome! 5

The absolute best way to apply powder. Never going back to anything else!

This Picks up loose powder like no other. It applies seamlessly, without creasing, and doesn't make your setting powder look Cakey. This is what I had been missing in my makeup routine! This is a MUST-HAVE ladies!

It out my powder on better than any other sponge I've used. 100% worth it. I was blown away when I used it.
not my favorite 3

I literally bought this powder sponge because it was on sale. Tbh I'm not a huge fan of real techniques sponges I prefer the brushes, newho , it says on the packaging you could use it wet or dry and I wanted to try it wet. first dip in the powder it was nice, the loose powder didn't fly everywhere which was cool but after the first application the sponge cracked, so annoying. I didnt notice a difference on application, powder just doesn't fly everywhere pretty much it. I wouldn't buy it again.

blends powder beautifully on the skin
A good beauty blender in a pinch 4
Zo from Napa CA
This is an affordable beauty blender the only thing is it's very fuzzy and doesn't grow much when wet so it stays pretty dense.
Amazing at picking up loose powder 5

So much better than using a brush or regular sponge
Better than the orange 5

I actually bought this thinking it was like the orange sponge to be used for foundation. When I notice off bat it was more stiff even when you wet it. It was until I read the package that I realized that it's for powder. I continue to use it for both. Things to keep in mind when using it for foundation, if you wet it it will make your foundation blotchy versus dry and it takes very little dry. Now if you use powder, do not wet it at all. I feel like this sponge breaks less easily than the orange.
It's ok, but I had a problem with it 3

The sponge blended my makeup really good. Sadly when I was gently washing it, it ripped really easily after my first time using it.
Excellent 5

I love this, especially for setting makeup with a pressed powder.

Nice sponge! Must have! 4

When I first came across this I was like why do I need ANOTHER tool and another sponge. But I really like this sponge. The microfiber bristles grab onto a lot of powder so a little goes a long way. I used to use my sponge for both foundation and powder and realized it got gross and cakey quickly even though I washed it every use cuz the water and powder would soak in. I do like keeping my foundation sponge and powder sponge separate. I feel like both sponges have lasted me longer as well.
Not Impressed 2

It's not the best sponge didn't blend as the original orange sponge left all the product in one spot
I wet the sponge as I was told to do so but didn't do anything won't purchase again

I use this to help me set my face with my loose powder and it blends it in beautifully and looks smooth. I highly recommend this.

Just purchased it and used it a couple times and I'm so thoroughly impressed. I honestly had just gotten it because it was on sale. My regular orange real techniques sponge works just fine. But this is on a whole different level. You can tell it's exact purpose is to apply powder because it does so seamlessly.
Worth buying 5

The sponge does a really good job at baking. Haven't had any problems with it, I use it all the time in my makeup routine.
A++ for mineral powder foundation 5
Sandisk from Palatine
Hello, where has this been for all the years Ive been using loose mineral foundation?!? I take the flat end, dip it in powder and powder/blend my face away for a smooth airbrush look. It gives the perfect amount without it looking cakey or patchy.
better/ cheaper alternative to beauty blender 5
chloe from texas
this sponge, in my opinion works a lot better than the beauty blender and at a much cheaper price
Broke On First Use 2
Ayanna from Brooklyn, NY
I moistened it, as I normally do with beauty blenders and it ripped upon the first use. I used it to apply tinted moisturizer and it did a good job, but, I don't anticipate being able to use this more than 3 more times.
