Oh. My. God. I'm not even exaggerating when I say that I must have tried 30 or more liquid eyeliners over the last few years trying to find one that wouldn't either transfer to my eyelids, bleed in my inner corner, or flake off during the day. None of them survived sweat, heat, or even just blinking. The closest I've ever come to finding a good eyeliner is Stila All Day waterproof liner, but I don't like felt-tip eyeliner brushes and the color was always very weak, when I wanted intense BLACK.
All this to say -- I'm done searching. THIS IS IT. The color is the darkest black of any eyeliner I've ever used. The applicator is perfect for me (I like ones with small paintbrush-like applicators) but since it's a bottle (not a felt-tip pen) you can very easily use your own brush if you prefer to. The liner stays on all day and all night. Just to experiment, I've left it on for three consecutive days and you can just *barely* see some of it coming off on the corner of my right eye. Otherwise it hasn't smudged, flaked off, or anything. And I sleep on my stomach so my eyes were definitely rubbing against the pillow and ~nothing~ moved. The real selling point for me though is that it doesn't bleed in my inner corner. I have greasy eyelids and nothing, but nothing, would stay put there. Even the Stila one would usually bleed at least a little bit and I'd always have to touch up my eyeshadow to account for the leaking eyeliner. But this one stays put. I can't believe I'm so excited about eyeliner but this really might be the best thing that's happened to me all year so far. I'm so in love with this eyeliner, it's basically my religion now.
The brush is HORRIBLE. Like I can't even describe how horrible it is. It makes applying very difficult. It's flimsy. The formula is great & I love that it's matte but by the time I'm finished by applying it... my eyeliner came out thicker than I wanted. It came out nice but took forever! & it runs a little before drying

The long-lasting Mac liquid eye liner Is the best around. The brush tip is so easy and can perfect any cat eye or eyeliner. I use it daily! It's the perfect shade of dark brown since black is often too harsh. Other waterproof eyeliners usually rub off or peel off after a few hours of wear because my eyelids are usually oily. This eyeliner lasts a full 12hr day, and comes off easily with makeup remover. It even lasts during workouts and swimming. I recommend it 100%!

This eyeliner stays on all day with no smudges, it can actually be a little difficult to get it off without makeup remover. The applicator is perfect for thin or thick lines, especially flicking out the end of a wing. It has lasted me about 3 months, which is usually how long a liquid eyeliner lasts for me. It can be a little messy at times, but it's well worth it.

This is a very unique liner. Super thick formula and pigmented. Most brush type liners are thin and watery. This isn't, and it's still easy to use. It lasts a long time, and I'd say it's a gel formula? I like it. I've used several other brands, it's nice!

I ordered the "Blackened Green" and the color shown is not true to color. Looks very very dark on. Not what I expected.

This is some hard core eyeliner. It stays on forever. It is super wet though so for the love of god be patient to let it dry or else you're dealing with a hot mess and redoing all your shadow. Trust. Speaking from experience. But I love this eyeliner so much. A true, sharp black and you can create great lines and wings with the brush (but for the love of all things holy wait for it to dry before blinking!)

Product was thick and dried out

This is a recent try for me that I love!! Definitely indulge as the product is smooth, light and stays on as if it was just applied.

Stays on all day and easy to apply.

so i really liked the color and how easy it was to glide on, no mess after washing yyour face but it gave me a terrible eye allergy and infection.
I want it all from St Louis, MO
I have oily lids and this is the only eyeliner that doesn't run down my face or disappear in St Louis humidity. I sweat, I rub my eyes and this stuff still looks perfect. It does take some practice and you must be careful. It does get in lashes if you don't wipe some of product off the brush before using. I don't
mind that it lingers a little after I wash my
face with normal cleanser, because my eyes
look so much better with it on. But it does come off with oil based cleanser. The wet road color is awesome!
Only thing, I want more colors! I like navy blue, Please!!

The product stays put, but it's a little messy. The brush could stand to be a little more stiff.

Late Night is a greenish black. If you have olive or muted coloring, this will look amazing on you. I like using it with Urban Decay Stash on my waterline
The formula is a little gloopy and it took me a couple tries to get the hang of the brush. Now that I know, I wipe off nearly all of the product on the edge of the tube and the brush is different than what I'm used to but can make the SHARPEST THINNEST lines.
Each month I get really bad PMS and it makes me cry really easily. It's sometimes so bad I keep makeup wipes in my car in case I ruin my makeup. WELL I can report that this eyeliner survives crying. So if you have an emotional event coming up (or if your life is an emotional event like mine) I would say go for this one. I also spray Milani setting over the whole look, so that might effect the outcome there.

Buy it. Just do it... If you purchase this with the right expectations, you will be more than happy. I understand where the negative reviews are coming from but the two main complaints I've read are easy fixes!
I noticed other customers are not a fan of the flimsy brush. Personally, the liquid Loreal liner I used for years also had a flimsy brush so I had quite a bit of practice perfecting my technique before I purchased this eyeliner. When putting this on, slow down, take a deep breath, and move your hand slowly. It's helpful to start at your outer eye rather than your inner eye. Once you get used to it, I really think you'll fall in love with the flimsy brush!
The staying power with this eyeliner is fan flipping tastic! I know that's another complaint from other customers. My micellar water could not remove it, but there is such an easy fix: baby oil. I used baby oil as a makeup removed for years so when my micellar water didn't work I got the baby oil back out. Since you do have to apply a little pressure to break the eyeliner down to rub it off, the baby oil is nice and moisturizing for your eyes which keeps you from damaging or irritating your skin.
For future customers, remember to be patient getting accustomed to the flimsy brush & use baby oil to remove your eye makeup. If you can do that, you will obsess over this eyeliner. I splashed water all over my face to test it and this stuff did not budge.

Sooo I bought it once before but its like that one saying. Once you go Mac Liquidlate Eyeliner you never go back! My first experience I didn't like soo much cuz u have to fan it to dry it. but once it dries let me tell you.. Oooo girl! You can go 2 days with this eyeliner and this thing don't come off regardless weather you wash your face. you literally have to use waterproof makeup remover to take it off. no soaps work to take this thing off. Not even a shower or beach or pool lol. soo if u want a ligit waterproof eyeliner then this is it.
Lina from Dallas,TX
The eyeliner last very long all day which is great. But the bottle didn't last that long plus the second batch I bought was pretty lumpy. It takes a long time to dry

I have super sensitive eyes, and have always used Urban Decay liquid eyeliner. this stuff works so good! No flaking or peeling, and even stayed put after I accidentally rubbed my eye! Will def be buying again!
MickieB273 from New York
Eyeliner irritated my eyes after wearing it for about 4 hours. I have very sensitive skin and eyes so I thought I would test MAC products before my brother's wedding but I'm really disappointed with the results of this eyeliner. I hate writing negative reviews but I felt buyers should be aware. I've used liquid liner for years but with a small short flat brush the liner became globby and difficult to apply without getting it on eyelashes. The reason for the higher rating is that the makeup stayed on for a long time,
provided a thick line and was a blackened green color which I really loved so hopefully someone with less sensitive eyes would enjoy this.

HORRIBLE!! I was looking for a new eyeliner to use and had high hopes for this product but when I used it for the first time and pulled out the brush it was a gummy like texture. I thought maybe it mix the brush in a little it would work but made it worse. Tried applying it to my eyes and kept getting stuck in my eyelashes! I don't recommend this product.
Laura from Naples, FL
If you like an eyeliner that will stay on for days this is for you. I had to use olive oil and it took a very long time to get off.
Lala from Burney CA
Stays on for 2 days completely! The first day i tried it on then decided to take a shower 6 hours later... i rubbed my eyes under water. Dried off put towel against my face the experiment was done! I looked into the mirror still there not even a smudge!!!! This is the only eyeliner i wear thank u waterproof eyeliner!!!!
Crownie17 from Portland, OR
I have tried them all, and all but this one seem to transfer to the hoods of my eyes. It is precise and fast drying! This eyeliner can be difficult to remove if you don't have Lancôme's makeup remover.
CirilaG from Texas
I have super oily eyelids, live in a humid place and i wear contacts so my eyes get watery. I've tried them all and only this one lasts through EVERYTHING and without eyeprimer too.. speechless!!. Also it's SO black!
That being said, you have to be experienced with liquid eyeliner to throughly enjoy it, no room for mistakes during application, It is a brush tip that allows entire control. Being super picky i wish it had a finer tip, but i still manage just fine.
I don't get the complains, The neutrogena makeup remover takes it off like a charm. Clinique, lancome.. any similar one will work. Just don't use micellar water..it still says waterproof on the label.
Sara from Hartford, CT
I like the color (cocoa brown). But this has got to be the hardest liner to work with. I suppose if you use a different brush you'd probably have better control. Also, it took me around 1/2 hour to remove - using a combination of q-tips and pads soaked in micellar water and two full face washes. It's still on a day later though much less noticeable. I don't know how anyone gets this stuff off!
Hannah from Athens, GA
This is my new favorite liquid liner! I am really picky about liquid liners because I find they often run, smudge, irritate my eyes, etc. Not this one! it's very pigmented, goes one smooth, definitely waterproof (even around the waterline). Highly recommend.

I have been searching for a great eyeliner and finally found one. There is no streaking and it LASTS all day! I love it.
