Q
I received a Shampoo/Conditioner sample pack in the Hydrate for color treated hair and LOVED it. It smelled good and made my hair silky smooth and super pretty. I immediately returned my current brand for full size of Pureology Hydrate. However, the full size smells comepletely different than the sample. It is very overwhelming. I had to read the details to figure out it must be the sage. Is it because it's a concentrate? I don't understand why the samples wouldn't have that same sage scent. It's very "manly" and makes me hold my breath when my hair blows in my face. Might have to return it but wanted to ask first. Thanks!

Hi there, we understand your disappointment with the difference in scent between the Pureology Hydrate sample and the full-sized product. We strive to maintain consistency, but sometimes slight variations can occur due to the larger volume of product in full-sized bottles which can amplify certain notes, like the sage leaf extract. While the sample sachets are designed to be representative of the final product's formula, subtle differences can sometimes be perceived. If the scent is too overpowering, we recommend contacting your place of purchase for information about their return or exchange policies. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Is this considered a high or moderate in protein product? I need moisture but I try to limit the amount of protein I use in my hair.
Asked by Keket13
Official Answer By Pureology - BE
Hi there, we encourage you to check the ingredient list on the product packaging or on the website. This will allow you to identify any protein-based ingredients and assess their suitability for your hair care routine. We understand the importance of finding the right protein-moisture balance for your hair. We hope this helps. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
I bought this conditioner in the 1L size. Is anyone else having a hard time getting a pump to work with this product? Ive tried two separate pumps and cant get anything to come out. What am I doing weong?
Asked by Sarah
Official Answer By Pureology - BE
Hi Sarah, We're sorry you're having trouble with the pump for your liter-size Pureology Hydrate Conditioner. While this size doesn't include a pump, the bottle is designed to be compatible with most universal pumps, which are sold separately. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you

COLOR-TREATRED HAIR LIFE SAVER

Every time I get in the shower I look forward to using this conditioner. I never invested in a higher end shampoo/conditioner, but my stylist saw my hair and strongly recommended this brand. Paired with the shampoo, this conditioner is the perfect addition. It does have a strong scent, but I love...

Not the pure Pureology!

I had previously purchased Pureology products from my salon with fantastic results. Until using the product from Ulta, I didn't know that Loreal has purchased the brand and has now diluted the product with water and alcohol based ingredients. Not at all the same quality of product that I have purc...

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I've been using the Pureology Hydrate Shampoo for a few weeks now, and it has made such a difference in my hair. It cleanses really well without stripping my hair or making it feel dry. My hair feels soft, smooth, and hydrated right after rinsing, and I've noticed less frizz overall. I also love the fresh minty scent, it makes my scalp feel super clean and refreshed. A little goes a long way, and it lathers beautifully. This is an amazing option for dry or color-treated hair.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Best conditioner, smells HORRIBLE

Makes my hair so soft!! Doesn't weigh it down, clean ingredients but smells like the worst peppermint grossness ever. I literally CRINGE at the scent. I hate smelling it in my hair when it's dry too. Whoever designed this fragrance did Pureology a HUGE disservice but the formulation of the conditioner is unmatched. If they made a new scent I'd buy it forever.

Menthol

This conditioner is good, except for the menthol and peppermint extract. The cooling sensation feels terrible to me, especially when I'm washing my hair while trying to enjoy a hot shower. And it takes forever to rinse out, prolonging that cold, tingly feeling. I really wish they made a version of this without the minty stuff. It's great otherwise but because it feels so awful to use, I will never buy it again.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
