Comments about Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner:

I have been using the department store eyeliners for a long time. Each dry up in the gel pot and after a short time would cake up on my eyes and flake off. I am finding this product to be better than more expensive brands

Comments about Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner:

So. I messed up when buying this and got the wrong color (I hate brownish black). So I haven't been able to experiment with winged eyeliner. BUT it does apply nicely to the waterline and stays on all night. It can be clumpy if your not careful or use a different brush than the one that comes with it. CLEAN YOUR BRUSH AFTER, or at least rinse it off. Otherwise you'll have a heck of a time cleaning it. It is a bit difficult to remove and I still had some on the next day. I would still get it just for my waterline even if it doesn't really work well for winged eyeliner.

    Awesome gel eyeliner

    By MSTEDAM

    from TN

Comments about Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner:

I actually have two of these. Blackest black and brown. Blackest black is amazing. The formula is good and it is super pigmented. One swipe of this and your good. My brown one isn't as pigmented. When I used it I would have to go over it a few times just so it wouldn't look patchy. So, I would suggest Blackest black if you are looking for a good gel liner.

Comments about Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner:

I love this liner for two reasons. I suck at make up and it makes doing the cat eye look super simple. The Black is dark and bold. I receive many compliments. Only downfalls are it sometimes fades by the end of my work day. I have to reapply if I'm going out after work. Also, it is difficult to remove with just soap and water or makeup wipes. Thankfully I use coconut oil on cotton balls to remove my makeup so it makes it simple in one swoop. All-in-all my favorite drugstore gel liner.

    Will not buy again

    By Mia

    from Wisconsin

Comments about Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner:

I have oily lids and very watery eyes especially when I am wearing eye makeup. So, I have been looking for eyeliners that are water resistant, long lasting and pigmented. I've been using high end and although they are pigmented and can be long lasting, non have been water resistant enough for my watery eyes. So I decided to try drug store again. It's too bad this product did not work well for my eyes. Within minutes it transferred to my under eye area due to my watery eyes. While applying I noted that the product would move around and wasn't as pigmented.

I do not recommend this product for those who have really watery eyes.

      Let-down

      By Donna

      from French lick

Comments about Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner:

I was incredibly excited to try this, as I've been on the search for a good, unsmudging (is that a word) gel liner for my oily, hooded eyes. When I got this, it was dried out. The formula clumped up on the brush and barely transferred any color onto my eyelid. It streamed and took multiple applications to even see a line. Very disappointed in this, but I'm hoping I just got a bad batch. I'll stick with my L'Oreal.

Will purchase again. Use with a stiff brush and not the brush it comes with unless you are blending for lower lash line. Dries quickly so if smudging don't wait long.

Hi Mamtha! Thank you for your inquiry on our Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner. Unfortunately we do not recommend adding anything to this product since it could change the formula. Just make sure to keep this product tightly sealed to prevent it from drying up in the future. We hope this helps!

Hi! This liner is gel-based, so typically as long as it is not an oil-based liner it is okay to use with lash extensions; however, we suggest consulting with your lash technician to be safe. Thanks for your question!

                A:

Hi Gia! Oh no, we're terribly sorry to hear this. The Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner should have came with an applicator brush. It is needed in order to apply this eyeliner product. If you are able to return it back to the store of purchase, we recommend you do so as you would need the cosmetic applicator to apply this product. We hope this is helpful!

Step 1: Dip the tip of the brush into gel formula and wipe off excess on rim of jar.

Step 2: Glide brush in small strokes across lash line.

Step 3: Continue to build line, until desired intensity is achieved.

After each use, wipe brush clean with dry tissue and close cap tightly.

Eyestudio® Lasting Drama® Gel Liner is ophthalmologist tested, dermatologist tested, allergy tested and suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. It does not make the claim to be non comedogenic.
Oil dissolves everything! Be proactive and be sure to prep your eyelids with a great eyelid primer like our MASTER PRIME® LONG-LASTING EYE SHADOW BASEPRIME + MATTE. This long lasting base glides on the lids, prepping the lids for perfected eye makeup application and wear. This product is also ophthalmologist tested, suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

Hi. I like how this gel liner looks, and the colors look nice. My questions are as follows:

              1. I have oily skin and monolid, hooded eyes. Is this suitable for oily skin?

              2. How do I clean the brush--do I use a brush cleaner?

              3. To make sure, I have to replace this every 3 months (if I get in November, I have to replace it in February)?

              4. Can this liner be used to create natural and dramatic looks? I'm just making sure.

              • Brand Expert

                A:

Oil dissolves everything! For oily eyelids, get proactive! Use a great eyelid primer like the Maybelline Master Prime® Long-Lasting Eye Shadow Base Prime + Smooth primer to provide a smooth, non-oily lid, all ready for your liners and shadows.
The Lasting Drama® Gel Liner waterproof eyeliner has a long-lasting gel formula that achieves dramatic eye looks. For more subtle results, apply a thin line with the tip of the brush. To keep the brush in perfect shape, be sure to wipe the bristles with a clean tissue as soon as you finish applying your liner (don't let the gel dry on the brush). Wipe the brush firmly with the tissue until there is no residue left behind.
Products used right around the eye, (mascaras, eyeliners, eyeshadows), should be replaced sooner than other makeups. If your product has developed an off odor or has dried out, its time to toss it! Our basic guideline for replacing eye makeup is around 3 months from the time you begin to use it, but use your own good judgment when assessing your eye makekup.

In the Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner the shades blackest black and charcoal are both very dark shades, but the blackest black is definitely darker of the 2.The shade charcoal does not have nearly the same depth of color and provides a softer result.
