Most Helpful Positive Review Better Than Wet; Worth Every Penny!
If you like the Wet Brush in the similar style (boar/synthetic bristle combo), you will LOVE this one. It's basically the same brush, just better made. I have long, thick, oily hair and this brush suits it perfectly, distributing the oil while penetrating my entire head of hair. I no longer have to take special care to brush out the hair at the top of my neck. It does an amazing job and is worth every penny. Most Helpful Critical Review Not for me
I was very excited about this brush and it was literally the first item I looked for when I opened my Ulta delivery. I pulled it out of the package and it is lovely. It also appears to be made well but there is a smell that is reminiscent of shoe polish. I thought that it might dissipate after airing out a bit but it doesn't. It's probably the oils or the boar bristles or something but I just can't get past it. It also doesn't go through my hair all the way. My hair is naturally wavy/curly and of a medium texture.

While it was really nice, similar to others it fell apart after a few months. The tips come off so it's scratchy. All the gold paint scratched off easily too which was disappointing.
Best brush ever

This is the only brush i buy. My niece who hates getting her hair brush loves to use this brush when she's with me.
I enjoy using Olivia Garden brushes...but
PamS from Sunnyvale
I enjoy using Olivia Garden brushes...but I am disappointed in a couple of things with this brush. Like other reviewers mentioned, the tips have fallen off most of the bristles. Without the tips the bristles scratch my scalp. It is a pricey brush and this shouldn't have happened. The other thing that is disappointing is the handle. I wish it had a rubber handle or at least some of the same grip that is on their round brushes. Other than these disappointing issues, the brush makes my hair soft and smooth. I would recommend it only if they fixed the tips from falling off.
I won't buy this again
Marissa from Colorado
It was wonderful at the start but within a couple of months the round tips of the bristles slid down the shaft making the brush unusable due to how badly it scratches my scalp. Definitely not worth the money.
Disappointing only lasted a couple months
Britt017 from Oregon
I loved this brush when I first got it! Two months in the covers for the tips of the bristles fell off one by one! Now at 7 months all the little caps are gone and the brush scrapes my scalp and damages hair. Not worth the high price tag to fall apart in less than a year.
I will definitely buy again 😍

Nubs on the end came off a couple of months. Started causing damage to my hair.

Within 2 months the littel nubs on the end of the bristles of this brush have almost completely come off leaving just the exposed scratchy boar bristles. Scrathes the scalp and damages your hair.
Perfect for my Daughter
D-Nasty from Oklahoma City, OK
This brush is perfect for my daughter's super sensitive scalp. She used to cry every time I brushed her hair with regular bristles. This works perfect for her tender head.
Love it. Don't forget to regularly wash this brush!
Julia from Philadelphia
I have thin, fine hair that get oily about 2 days after I wash it. This brush is definitely worth the money, in my opinion. I brush my hair with this brush every evening for about 5 minutes, focusing on making contact with my scalp and brushing all the way to the ends. My hair is SO much softer and shinier now, and I can go a few extra days between washes. I can't say enough good things about this brush. It really took my hair to the next level with minimal effort. My biggest suggestion would be to wash this brush! Wash it regularly with shampoo and let it dry facing down. This brush will collect the oil from your hair and it needs to be cleaned for it to keep working as it should.

I have been shopping for a boar bristle brush, I have never had one before. So far I really like the bristles on this brush, but the cheap gold paint is tacky. When I got it home and cut off the tag I realized the tag had already scratched some of the gold paint off. It hasn't peeled anymore, at least yet.
The best brush I've ever used.

I have VERY long, thin hair. I love this hair brush so much.
I highly recommend it to anyone

A very good hair brush

I bought this a few months ago and I have never had a brush that falls apart only after a few months of use. Very disappointed, but I was also disappointed in the big logo on the back. This brush just sucks. Not worth the clearance price, definitely not worth regular price.

This brush is a great quality! It's just not great for my thick hair. For thinner hair, it would be wonderful!
Best brush ever!

I never paid attention to what brush I was using in the past, but I've been experiencing a good amount of breakage. After doing some research, it seemed like one place to help my hair was by getting a boar hair brush. I ordered this, and I love it so much! It immediately makes my hair feel softer and silkier. I ended up buying a second one to keep in my gym bag after only a few days. It's awesome.
Love this brush!!
Anna from Northern Illinois
This brush is great for my thick, dry, tangly hair. It's been great to use on my daughter as well to help with drying her hair. Makes it silky, smooth and shiny.
Go for the gold

Admittedly I've needed a new brush for a couple years now. My 6 yr. old granddaughter told me to go get a new brush. So, off to Ulta. I saw the Gold brush right away. I like the bristles & look of it. Got it home, used it & loved it. Goes through my long thick hair easily. So glad I chose this brush.
Best brush ever!

Being somewhat older I have used a LOT of different brushes over the years. This is hands-down the best! I've used mine for 6 months or so and have now tossed the many others I had stashed away. I feel like picking up as many of these as I can . . . . I would hate to have them discontinued. I have hair of an average thickness and also bought one for a friend with outrageously thick (and long) hair. She loves it just as much as I do.
I will never buy another brush...
Jennifer L. from Lawton, OK
The cost was a bit much, but after a couple of years I bought it again. It works great for tangles and I have very thick hair. I'm even going to buy my boyfriend one for his beard, he loves it too!
Don't waste your money
Jody from Dallas, Texas
This brush is not for thick hair like mine. If you have thick hair do not buy this brush because it barely brushes the entire hair. For example it does not take in all the hair because it's simply too thin. So half of my hair (the top part) is brushed and half (the bottom) is not because it doesn't take in and brush through all the hair. If I go back with another brush and brush through my hair for the 2nd time I find so many tangles because this brush never got the tangles, just the surface hair. Wish it was wider and thicker.
SD_NATUREGIRL from San Diego
I ordered this brush when it went on sale based on all the great reviews, but was so disappointed when I received it. The handle feels and looks like cheap plastic that's been painted gold, with a large anniversary stamp on the back. The dealbreaker is the strong smell of whatever it was lacquered with. It's been out for a week, but smells the same as when it came out of the package. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because the cushion and bristles are well made, although they're not long enough for thick hair.
