Why all the positive reviews?!
I came across this at a major retail chain and having read such great reviews about it, I decided to purchase the product. I have a very difficult time tanning my skin; I don't burn, but I also don't tan unless I'm out in the sun for a very long time. Anything that can speed up the tanning process...

My 17 year old daughter said this works great! However it smells like you are slathering yourself up for a BBQ. It has a strong soy sauce smell. I DO keep using it though because it does work like magic!!! The smell got away after a while also
Natural Tan
This product gives you such a natural brown, and the aloe soothes your skin from the sun. You can burn if you dont apply SPF before applying this lotion, the bottle even says it has no SPF in it I was worried it would smell bad like people have said, but it smells like a spray tan
I LITERALLY HATE. THE SCENT
i literally threw up at the smell and had to add SO MUCH 40 sol de janerio to that junk to make it TOLERABLE and that junk literally smelled like bbq sauce mixed w soy sauce and it smelled so rancid i literally crashed out omg it smells SOOOO BAD PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GET OMG IT SMELLS SO BAD I CANT DO IT ANYMORE theres cheaper things out there that work better than this, bc this junk does nothing please just get something better

It gave me a really good tan but I would give it a 5 if the smell was better. I would describe the smell like soy sauce almost but just something salty honestly. i couldn't stand the smell putting it on. but yes the lotion is VERY effective and i would definitely recommend if you are having a hard time being able to tan
Amazing
This is THE best accelerant I've used to build up a beautiful tan during a short vacation. I will say this stains so be careful what bathing suit/towels you use. If you wash right away it usually comes out… secondly it has a strong coffee smell—if you don't like that don't get it. Otherwise, this accelerant does wonders! You absolutely have to protect your skin and I recommend starting off with your sunscreen and slathering Maui Babe on top. Because of the oils in this, your skin feels soft and hydrated even after being in the sun. If you're going to be in the sun for multiple hours, you should always reapply your sunscreen and then reapply Maui babe to achieve your perfect tan—I would say every 1-2 hours. Within three days of lounging poolside I always get a deep, rich, brown (NOT orange) color that lasts for weeks. Will last even longer if I use the Maui babe after sun lotion.
