Most Helpful Positive Review FYI - blender users! I noticed that many reviews mention that the blender "soaks up, drinks, uses up" a ton of foundation. I don't think that many users understand that you need wet the sponge before using it . First run the sponge under water, squeeze out the excess so that you are left with a throughly damp sponge. Apply a dime size of foundation on the back of your non dominant hand. Dab the sponge in the foundation and begin to apply to skin using a light and quick "bouncing or tapping " motion. To build coverage, pick up a little more foundation and go over the areas that need more coverage again by lightly and quickly bouncing and tapping repeating until you have the coverage you want. You should never drag the sponge over the skin like you normally might when using a traditional makeup application sponge or pad- use bouncing/tapping motions only. You will always use the sponge damp when using foundation, concealer, cream blush etc. When applying powder, you still want to have a barely damp sponge, and use the same bouncing/tapping motion. If desired, after applying foundation concealer etc. with the sponge you can apply powder in areas where you need a little bit more coverage with a damp sponge and then finish the entire face with powder and the appropriate powder brush. You can also skip using the sponge for face powder altogether and just use the sponge for applying foundation, concealer, highlighter etc. and use
a different method ( powder brush, velvet
puff ,.. etc) for applying powder.
Most Helpful Critical Review Soaks up make up I bought this sponge hoping it was a dupe for the beauty blender. This is not the case. I wet the sponge as suggested and the sponge just soaks up my make up. I have tried two different liquid make ups and one of them was a ELF brand. The sponge still soaked it up. I even tried with just concealer and still same results. ELF please work on product this is the worst thing I have bought from elf.

My favorite beauty blender! Soft and distributes product perfectly. I've tried many and surprisingly enough this affordable sponge is the best.
only good for powders 5
dom from whittier
this sponge is really soft and i used with a foundation and it's kind of just spread my foundation everywhere instead of blending it in so I washed it and now i only use it for powders and when I bake and it's super easy to use
probably the best sponge ive ever used 5

really happy with this. Great quality and great value for money
Not good for liquids 4
Caidyn from Connecticut
This sponge is terrible for liquid foundation and concealer but it's FANTASTIC for powder like loose translucent powder. USE THIS FOR BAKING IT APPLIES LIKE A DREAM!!! Not for liquid. The sponge lifted my makeup and lessened the coverage.
Love this for foundation 5

Not a great product. Soaked up makeup and too firm for my liking.

I used this to blend my foundation and it left it spotty and just didn't look as smooth but it did blend my contour pretty nicely
Only sponge for me. 5

I love this sponge! I have tried the egg shaped sponges, from many other companies, and this one is still by far the best. It is inexpensive and I have 2! (I travel for work)
I would not buy this product 1

The sponge soaked up all of the foundation and when I tried to blot in on my face it left patches of uncovered skin. I will be returning this product.
I prefer this sponge over any other 5

I actually like that this sponge is latex free. The texture and bounce of this sponge is what I prefer when blending my foundation and other creams. If you have a latex allergy, this is also a great option! I don't feel like this sponge soaks up a lot of my foundation, and I notice that it doesn't take a lot of effort for my makeup to be fully blended into my skin. You can't beat this option, especially with it being under $10!

I freaking love this product . It is my new go to always . Super blending and doesn't steal my product . I'm going to continue getting this bad boy . I like to dampen him before dipping in
Eats product 1

I understand this is a sponge, but it eats every bit of product. If I could give it zero stars I will. I'll go back to my L'Oreal sponge.
ELF MADE IT BETTER 5

I remember trying this sponge and not liking it bc it was dense like a Nerf football. BUT a YT'er mentioned these sponges changed and are now much more like the pores seen in Beauty Blenders. This is literally my default sponge.
REALLY SOFT 3
Meg from Detroit, MI
This is way too soft, I get that it's for liquids but it's like using a cotton ball to apply my makeup.
I would not purchase this again 1
Racheal from Mississippi
I use a beauty blender to blend out my concealer beneath my eyes and on any acne scarring. This beauty blender becomes huge after you run it under water. This allows it to be very absorbent and overly porous. I'm not a fan at all!
Unexpected winner 5

I'll start by saying I've never bought the official beauty blender, just can never bring myself to get it. I've tried a lot of the other drug store beauty sponges though. I went the the store to buy a new eco tools and right next to it was this one. I wasn't sure but took a chance and it is really nice!!! It is really soft and squishy, reminds me of the L'Oréal one. Softer than eco tools and real techniques. I feel like it might soak up a little more product than the others but over all it's a win. I've used it and washed it about 4 times and still looks good as new.
