What happened to the Aromatics Elixir? I've been wearing this perfume for almost 40 years and it was a wonderful perfume. The fragrance used to last all day and now the smell is gone before you get out the door. Not only did you mess with the chemistry but you raised the price on something you or anyone around you can't smell. Why would you fix what wasn't broken???? Until this issue is fixed I wouldn't recommend to anyone

I was so excited for this perfume, it sounded like right up my alley with the notes. It is absolutely awful! I cannot believe this is actually a sold fragrance. I can't even describe it but it's like medicinal or a cleaning product. It does not smell like something that should even be sprayed on humans. We do not have a clinic store around here. Is there even a way to return this?
Rancid?
Is it possible for perfume to go rancid? Because this is so revolting it has to have gone bad in some way. There is no way it was intended to smell like it does.
Disappointed. Fragrance has gone hill.

I've purchased three bottles of the Elixir over the past five years. All three sit unused. With each bottle I purchased, I hoped the formulation was back to the original. Unfortunately not the case. Each was worse than the bottle before. I've worn this fragrance since the mid eighties. Clinique, learn from Coca-Cola's misstep when launching the "new" coke formulation. They listened to the consumer and brought back the original formulation. Listen to the ladies that have worn the fragrance long before many of your formulation consultants were even born. Until the original is brought back, if it ever is, the three bottles will sit unused and Clinique will remain a thing of the past in my fragrance repertoire.

This is my signature scent!! I love it, I get so many compliments while wearing it. It lasts for days, my co workers tell me they know I've arrived to work because they can smell me down the hall .. in a good way.
