Both sides of this sharpener are enclosed with clear plastic, so no mess of shavings fall all over. These sides both come off for easy cleaning. Can't be beat!! A must have!! But just wanted to add, a tip learned many years ago, if you freeze the pencils or crayons, prior to sharpening, they sharpen so much easier and the product looks just like it did, right out of the package, Seriously IT WORKS!!!!

Great for my eye and lip pencils that are different sizes.
Lid Does Not Stay Closed
Giving this three stars because it does sharpen your pencils well, but it sometimes breaks the wooden part and ruins them. The lid does not stay on and I've had many moments of frustration due to pencil shavings being dropped all over my bathroom floor. Overall, I recommend this if you don't mind the lid not staying closed.
Nice Sharpener
I got this to sharpen my NYX line loud pencils and this works great. I love that it is easy to take apart. Also I was surprised that it came with a cleaning pick, I didn't look at the reviews. Overall it's a nice sharpener.

I have this sharpener and another sturdier one. I takes far more than 3-4 turns to sharpen this product. I am very dissatisfied.
