Amazing Conditioner!

Comments about Sebastian Penetraitt Conditioner:

I love this conditioner, since I starting using it my hair has become very thick and is growing like never before. I am always getting compliments about how shiny and good my hair looks and smells. I color my hair and have to say this conditioner has helped keep my hair so soft, healthy and detandled. I haven't had hair this healthy since I started to color it years ago. I hope this stays around forever it's become a product I can't live without! I am willing to pay the price for what it does for my hair well worth it!

Comments about Sebastian Penetraitt Conditioner:

I bought the shampoo and conditioner based on all the great reviews. While I do find this to be a good shampoo and conditioner, it certainly is not the best and doesn't justify the cost. I have fine dry hair due to coloring , I find that Bed Heads Resurrection treatment mask and shampoo work much better to conditioner my hair and bring it shine and manageability at a 1/3 of the cost of Penetraitt

    Comments about Sebastian Penetraitt Conditioner:

I have dark blonde hair that is highlighted. I was a biolage girl for life until I recently started breaking out from it. I bought this based off the amazing reviews and am so disappointed. It was like I was using suave. It gave my hair a weird texture and made it super dry.

I ended up returning. I wasn't impressed with it at that price point. The shampoo and conditioner both seemed to be yanking my hair out too. I don't recommend.

This conditioner is fantastic, it's super thick and rich and make my hair really smooth. I normally have to use an extra leave-in conditioner after I condition, but with this I don't have to, my hair easily combs right through. And it smells AMAZING! Love it.

I bought the shampoo and conditioner for the first time during the jumbo sale and I love it so much, I am willing to pay full price just so I don't have to use anything else! Worth every penny!! My only "complaint" is that the conditioner is SUPER thick and can be hard to squeeze out of the big bottle so I would recommend you get the pump with it! It smells good, leaves my hair feeling soft, rinses clean, and does not weigh it down! And, just to add, I have well water plus a water softener and my hair STILL looks and feels amazing!!

I have a lot of very fine hair and was a minimalist when it came to using conditioner. In the past couple of years my hair has become more dry due to age and coloring. I tried Penetrait conditioner along with the Sebastian Light Shampoo and have been happy with the outcome so far. My hair feels smooth and looks healthy without the weight that some conditioners can leave on fine hair.

              Comments about Sebastian Penetraitt Conditioner:

I purchased this product from ulta during its shampoo/conditioner sale. Prior to using this product, I washed my hair every other day due to excess oils in my hair at roots and dry ends. I began using this product in hopes of achieving overall better hair and not having to wash it as often. I use this product with mane n tails shampoo ($5) and think they work great together. After each wash, my hair is silky soft and shiny, as I though I just got it done from the salon. Also, I no longer wash it every other day, in fact I am able to go without washing it for 4 days! It adds volume in all the right places, yet no frizz. Also, the smell is great! My sister, who has extremely curly hair, began using it as well and fell in love with the product. I don't think I'll be able to go back to my old conditioner, because this one is definitely worth the splurge! I highly recommend this product to anyone with problematic hair, especially thick and oily hair.

I got this cause it was on sale but I absolutely love it! I have usually use Alterna Caviar, which can be pricey, but this is just as good if not better. My hair is clean, super soft, smells good and feels healthy after using this product. I don't color my hair but this is safe color, I believe. I love it and always hear good things about the Sebastian line and now I know why.

Response from Sebastian's parent company, COTY:

"All of our products are cruelty-free. We do not perform, nor do we ever commission any third parties on our behalf to perform, testing of our products or ingredients on animals. COTY voluntarily ceased testing finished cosmetic products on animals in 1991, long before the official European ban on such testing in 2004, and we have been actively involved in the research and development of alternatives to animal testing for many years."

Does this smell any stronger than Drench? I liked the way Drench worked, but I really couldn't smell it at all. I like my conditioner to leave my hair smelling nice. I loved the smell of Matrix Biolage, but that didn't have as good of results as Drench. If this smells stronger, I might try it. If not, is there another brand that works similarly to this one but has a stronger smell?

The Sebastian Penetraitt Conditioner also has a very light scent. This product is superior in that it will add moisture and protein to mechanically damaged hair, however, if you are looking for a product with a wonderful smell, and that is also great for chemically treated hair, I would recommend Wella Brilliance; this product has a heavenly scent and leaves your hair feeling soft and manageable.

                • Q:

Hi, this product appears to have very similar ingredients to the Sebastian Drench conditioner. The most obvious difference is that these conditioners contain two different types of protein (silk vs milk, respectively), yet the Drench line doesn't claim to deep condition. I have naturally thick/coarse, coily hair and while my hair is generally healthy my ends seem to become dry and damaged quickly for no apparent reason. Too much protein makes my hair hard and breakage-prone. Should I purchase the Penetraitt or Drench line for a weekly moisturizing, deep conditioning experience?

Penetraitt is designed for dry, damaged, over processed hair, and its primary purpose is repair. If you are seeking a conditioner that helps with moisture, Drench is definitely the best one to use, especially for coarse, curly hair.
