Comments about Real Techniques Blush Brush:

I use this product primarily for blush, but it could also be used for bronzer, and possibly for highlighter or even setting powder. One thing I love about this brush is how soft it is and how it's a little heavier. I really like how it feels in my hand. It's also shaped really well for blush. You can easily put it on the apples of your cheeks or along your cheekbones, which is where it might be nice for bronzer. It really feels like you get a good brush for the price. The only thing I don't like is that this brush seems to waste a good amount of product. My brush always look pink after I use it, and I feel like not a lot of product is on my face. This could be due to the fact that I use a Maybelline blush, but this hasn't happened with other brushes that I've used with the same product.

Comments about Real Techniques Blush Brush:

I was super excited to buy this brush but it uses SO much product and deposits nothing on your face. I always use NARS blushes which tend to be quite pigmented and show easily but this brush wasted my product after several attempts. It could be used and a powder setting brush but definitely not for blush.

Comments about Real Techniques Blush Brush:

WARNING! If you wear powder foundation, stay away from the Real Techniques Blush Brush! I went to Ulta specifically for this blush brush because I tend to be a blush abuser and thought this brush would help me control the amount of blush I put on my face a little better. I always wear powder foundation, never liquid. I use primer on my face first and then set my foundation with setting spray before I apply my blush. I gave this brush three good honest tries before deciding that it was the worst makeup tool I have ever purchased. Every time I used it, I saw no blush being deposited on my cheeks and it was actually pulling my foundation off. I tried using different primers, setting sprays, and had on my Mac Studio Fix Powder at one point, then my Too Faced Cocoa Powder, and finally my Bare Minerals. None of my high end powder foundations could stand up to this brush. I first tried a very light hand for application, then when I saw no blush on my face...I tried it a little heavier and I seriously couldn't see any blush product on my face. All this brush was doing was removing my foundation and wasting product. I could see the pink blush on the brush itself...just not on my face. All it does is pick up product and never let it go. I was so frustrated that all of my imperfections that I had just covered were now uncovered and my face looked super uneven. It just gave me more work in the end, rather than being a helpful tool to finish my face. Ugh! I exchanged this brush for something else. I do own other Real Techniques brushes and love them, this one was just not meant to be used with powder foundations I guess. I would have been better off using the cheap brush that is included with most blushes. Super disappointed and kind of hesitant to jump to buy any more brushes from this brand.

                          Hi Beauty Buzz,

Fortunately, both of these brushes are made from synthetic, hypo-allergenic fibers and are some of our softest bristles, so I don't think you should have any issues like you might with bristles made from animal/natural fibers.

The powder brush has slightly more bristles and a wider head & dispersment (since it doesn't have to be as focused of an application as blush), so you may find that one works best.

                          Hope that helps.
                          Thanks.

                          Hi Neesha,

Great question! One of the things people love most about our brushes is that they have multiple uses, and using the Blush Brush for a bronzer is one of them, so yes, you can definitely do that! :)

Personally, for applying bronzer, I like a brush that has a bit of a broader head to it, and so my favorite brush for that is our Bold Metals Arched Powder Brush (found here: http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod11831007)

The bristles on this brush are our softest yet! And, because they are not as dense or compact, you're able to gently sweep bronzer across your face to really get that sun-kissed look.

                          Hope that helps!

The Sculpting Brush is designed for contouring & highlighting and can also be used for all over foundation application. It is compatible with both cream/liquid and powder products. The Blush Brush is designed for use with powder formulas and can be used for both blush and contouring.
