Comments about Mario Badescu Acne Facial Cleanser:

I have very oily skin, and this has helped me so much. I use it in the shower after I'm done bathing, and also at night to get off makeup and clean my skin. I can already tell a difference in my skin, it is less oily and feels so hydrated. & my acne has cleared up!!

I first tried this product in the acne starter kit and have been re buying since. I love the smell and it leaves my skin feeling clean while not drying it out at the same time. I still get the occasional monthly visitor pimple lol but nothing the Mario Badescu line can't fix ;)

Awesome product! My daughter works as a stylist at Ulta and had given me a sample to use. I've loved it ever since. I have sensitive combination skin and always had a hard time finding something that didn't burn my skin and actually worked. Worth every penny to me.

Acne Facial Cleanser is designed to remove makeup, however if you are using a long lasting HD foundation, you may want to use a makeup wash first.

Hi there! I have been using this along with the glycolic foaming cleanser and my skin is looking great! I was just curious though, is this cleanser suppose to foam a lot like the glycolic one? It just seems not to foam to much so I just wanted to make sure it is intended to be low foaming. Thanks!

I have acne on my chin and forehead and I can't find anything to get rid of it . It is mostly black heads that turn into white heads and a little bit of cystic acne. I'm looking for a daily cleanser that won't make it worse. Is this the one for me?

I am looking for new products (I've tried countless products and brands but nothing seems to really make a difference) to help with my skin and I have been reading very good reviews about this brand. I have oily skin and get pimples a couple times a month- but the annoying ones that are big and deep under the skin... so would this be a good facial cleanser? Also I have been thinking about getting the Buffering Lotion to help with the deep pimples, the Whitening Mask to help with the scars, and the Control Moisturizer For Oily Skin. Would this be a good combination of products? I also use witch hazel as a toner in the morning and night- would it be okay to stick with this, or do you recommend something better? My goal is to get and keep clear skin and to minimize the scars as much as possible.

                    Hello,
Can you tell me how much of the acne cleanser I should use to wash my face and should I wash for a certain amount of time or leave on for a certain amount of time?
Also, do I just use the buffering lotion on the really big cystic pimples that have no whitehead and the drying lotion on the smaller pimples that have whiteheads?
With the buffering lotion, it says to use 2-3 drops on the finger and dab on. Does that mean 2-3 drops per pimple?
I want to make sure I'm using these products correctly.
                    Thank you,

                      A:

Hello and thank you for your question. Gently massage a dime-sized amount of the Acne Facial Cleanser in circular motions on wet skin. Leave on for 1-2 minutes to allow the BHA more time to dissolve away surface buildup, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Be sure to follow with an appropriate toner and moisturizer.
You are correct. The Drying Lotion should only be used on whiteheads and the Buffering Lotion is intended for deep, under the surface bumps. 2 drops per pimple is best. To take the Buffering Lotion one step further, apply a few drops of Buffering Lotion to affected areas under a thin layer of our Drying Mask. After 15 minutes, rinse off, tone, and follow with another application of the Buffering Lotion.

Since sensitive skin may not agree with salicylic acid, our Enzyme Cleansing Gel would probably be a better option. It is recommended for all skin types and relies on the power of fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids (found naturally in Papaya and Grapefruit Extracts) to dissolve away makeup, oil, and impurities.

                      A:

Hello and thank you for your question. The main difference between the 2 cleansers is that the Acne Facial Cleanser contains salicylic acid and Botanical Facial Gel does not. Acne Facial Cleanser is recommended for acne prone skin, while the Botanical Facial Gel is for oily skin that may not experience frequent breakouts.
