Most Helpful Positive Review BUNNY BUTTS These brushes feel amazing, both in my hand and on my skin. It's such a pleasure working with them. So far the brushes have handled every formula I've tried. With liquid foundation it's been a much more obvious coverage, though still completely flawless. (Seriously, people use that word a lot, but I actually mean it. These brushes buff it right in so it's seamless). With powder, it's been equally seamless, but much sheerer. I'm having to build up quite a bit more with these than I do with my Bare Minerals brushes. (That is not a complaint).
The eye brushes are just as good, but they're much too large to be really useful on my eyes. I use them for finer contouring type things, and they're great. I look forward to getting some different eye brushes from this same brand.
Most Helpful Critical Review An HONEST Review by an IT Cosmetics Fan I've loved IT Cosmetics for a very long time and am loyal to the brand, but I'm not going to write a "fangirl" review; I want to give my honest opinion. As an IT fan I've accumulated quite a few of their original "black handled" brushes, as well as other IT brushes offered with purchase on a popular TV shopping channel and two IT brush sets.
**The short review: If you've never owned a quality brush you're probably going to think this set is the best thing since sliced bread. If you're familiar with IT's original brushes, you may be underwhelmed.**
These brushes are incredibly lightweight, which is both a pro and a con. On the pro side, they're great for travel and easy to sanitize with a wipe. On the con side, they feel cheap in comparison to other IT brushes. They don't feel properly balanced in the hand, at all, because of the light metal handle. The case feels more like an afterthought to what I consider to be just an average brush set. The faux patent leather of the case is severely prone to picking up every fingerprint and will be difficult to keep clean.
My take on each of the brushes is as follows:
Airbrush powder - best brush of the set though it is smaller than the comparable new IT for Ulta Airbrush Powder Wand.
Airbrush foundation - I don't get why this is for foundation. This is too small to be effective for powder foundations and too thick to be effective for liquid foundations because it's not easy to clean liquid out of bristles this dense and you'll wind up wasting product. It's an awkward size. It might be good for contouring with bronzer but it's not a foundation brush of any type.
Airbrush concealer - This is another awkward size brush. It's too big for concealer for the same reasons as the airbrush foundation brush in the set. It's too big to be used as an eyeshadow brush. Too small for blush. Again, this might be good for contouring (maybe the nose) or applying highlighters - but not much else.
Airbrush shadow - Decent brush though too small for a good all-over color wash. It's also not as long as the IT for Ulta Airbrush shadow brushes. The most comparable would be the Airbrush Precision #112. This brush is the same length as IT's travel shadow brushes and I would not consider it full sized.
Airbrush crease - Fair brush. This is another short-handled brush. It's just slightly too stiff for the crease. You'll need a nice fluffy crease brush to blend out the shadow application. This would work better as a smudger brush for eyeliner than as a crease brush.
My honest opinion is that this set is no where near worth the price set by IT and Ulta. For me, it is a regrettable purchase, but someone who has never owned a good brush may feel the set is worth it. I feel like this set was priced high for no other reason than prestige. My advice is to purchase the individual IT for Ulta Airbrush brushes - which are a good value with a high-quality, silver painted wooden handle, and have better quality bristles than the brushes in this set.
Reviewed by 252 customers Soft & blends fine but very light "cheap" feeling 3

I was really excited to order a new IT cosmetics brush set. The one that I already had was very nice, the brushes were heavy, and I have had them for a couple years. Immediately when I held these brushes, they felt so light and cheap compared to the other ones. I would say they are okay and the bristles are nice, but these wouldn't be my favorite out of the IT brushes.
Soft & work well 4

Really soft brushes and great quality. Blend product well with zero bristle fall out. I like that this set has a variety of face brushes and also two eye shadow brushes. I think the quality matches the price point and would buy again.
Not worth it 3
Jenn from NY
Real techniques has better quality bristles. Im very disappointed. I was excepting very good quality brushes, these are not it. I don't even mind the hallow handle. The bristles are just very low quality.
Love these 5

I've had these bruises for years!! I've cleaned them many times with just bar soap and no damage is done and I love using them. My go to brushes for everything!
Soft fluffy but sound hollow inside 4
Chantilly from Oregon
These brushes are very soft, and full size. What I didn't like is that the brushes are VERY light weight, and are hollow when you tap them.
This is a feeling that I personally don't enjoy, although the deal was great and I'm glad I have them.
Wow for Price 4

Its a set of brushes you can't pass, special on a budget or as a starter set. I only needed the powder and foundation brushes the others are a plus I suppose. I get to store away until needed lol. Brushes are super soft and gentle to the touch. The storage bag is a plus for traveling or if you put makeup on the go. I wish I would have bought these when I started wearing makeup. If you need a set like this it's honestly worth every penny.
LOVE this set! 4

I bought this set a few years ago when I started to get more into makeup and wanted to invest in better quality brushes (although I still love my Real Technique brushes and use them frequently to this day). I purchased this set and have loved it ever since. It's a great "starter kit" for those new to makeup as well. I will definitely be purchasing another kit when our daughter gets into her teen years and starts to be more interested in makeup! I definitely recommend this set for that purpose, I would have been over the moon if my mom bought me this brush set as a teen!
Great brush set for teens 5
slafrenz from KS
My daughter is just getting into makeup and we got this set for her - she loves it. The foundation brush especially is awesome - lets her successfully apply CC cream with minimal experience, and the rest of the brushes don't seem to shed and they are fun to try different looks with.
Love these! 5

I'm not new to makeup, but I've been branching out with using more brushes for my face makeup. These are great staples! The concealer brush blends out like a dream. They're all so soft and the perfect density
Love!! 5

I used to use eco tools, elf, bh and many other brands of brushes. None of them even come close to the quality and performance of these brushes!! For someone who's still in school makeup needs to be a quick thing and not something that can take too much time blending. This set is a perfect set for everyday I love them!
Doody 1
Tasha from TX
They're doody. Cheap metal (HOLLOW) handles that will definitely dent if you drop them. Brush heads are half as dense as my other drugstore brushes. They get the job done but what the heck It cosmetics? I splurged on these and this is what I get? This set is worth $10. Maybe.
Overpriced, worse than eco tools. 1
The big sad from Hogwarts, UK
These brushes do their job, but they should be better for the price. I would definitely rate my eco tools brushes ahead of these which is sad because I wanted to splurge on a nicer set. These brushes aren't nearly dense enough (they don't look like the picture at all). And the handles are hollow cheap cheap metal. I definitely will dent them by the end of the year. They feel so delicate.. I dislike it. Because of the hollow handles they're not balanced properly and just feel weird. Definitely pass on these.
Never again 1
Lucy from Texas
So disappointed. I have bought other "It" brushes separately, so I thought this case would be great because it included all those that needed in one neat package. I've never had bristles come out of the binding before, especially after 10-20 uses.
Pretty solid brush set! 3
Katie from Bellingham
I really enjoy the face brushes in this set and actually prefer them to sponges now! The eyeshadow ones are a little strange to me and I wish they were a little less dense and softer
Not worth the hype or price 2
ER from MN
I love most of my IT cosmetics brushes and find the IT Brushes for Ulta usually a great less expensive alternative with the same quality. However, this set feels cheap (hollow handles and not nicely weighted). The foundation brush doesn't disperse product evenly and seems to soak it up. The powder brush doesn't pick up enough product with a single swipe. The bristles are decently soft but I suggest buying the individual brushes over this overpriced set. Not worth the hassle.
The BEST 5

I never understood the purpose of the pricier brushes until I tried these! Unbelievable!
Not their usual quality, very cheap 1
Jamie from New York
I've used It Cosmetics brushes before, they are some of my favorite in the world. These are NOT the same quality. You can get better brushes at Forever 21, literally. The brush set seems like a really good deal, but it's a rip off because the brushes are basically unusable. The foundation brush soaks up all the product; even full-coverage foundations are thinned out to the level of tinted moisturizers. The powder brush kicks up tons of product, wasting it, but, if you look at the brush, you can clearly see no powder has been picked up, and nothing shows up on the face. The shadow brushes cause a lot of kick up and fall-out. They are soft to the touch but stiff with not enough give. It Cosmetics is a brand I love and trust, and it's shameful that they'd put out such low-quality brushes.
The sets are not worth the $$$ 2

These are of a much lesser quality than the individual brushes. Not worth the money.

I love these brushes 5
Divineks from Wichita, Ks
I never thought that buying quality brushes would make a difference, but it does. I generally use cheaper make up brushes, but when I used these it made a huge difference. My make up looked more smooth and vibrant.
