Most Helpful Positive Review The Mascara of the Future Benefit They're Real! Magnet Extreme Lengthening Mascara is different than any other mascara out there. It has a magnetically charged core in the brush, and the ingredients in the formula are attracted to the brush. This is science, people. The opening is smaller than it needs to be so that the brush is covered in just the right amount of product. No more having to wipe excess product off your mascara wand! This mascara took 4 years to develop and when I learned that Benefit had patented their magnetic technology I had very high expectations and let me tell you, Benefit They're Real! Magnet Extreme Lengthening Mascara did not disappoint in any way.
I first noticed the creatively located image of a magnet on the top of the wand, on a gorgeous silver tube. The shade is called "Supercharged Black" which is a fun play on the magnet theme going on here.
After I applied my eyeliner, shadow, my face makeup and combed my eyelashes, I was more than ready to try this mascara out. I wanted to see how it could benefit the look of my lashes. Wow! The bristles on here are placed perfectly, and it really did grasp every single lash very quickly. You can actually see the magnetic technology working! It usually takes me about 8 minutes to apply mascara, but while using Benefit They're Real! Magnet Extreme Length Mascara it took me half the time! (Yes, I really did use a timer to see how long it takes/took to apply mascara.) Usually I have a very difficult time applying mascara to my bottom lashes and I usually get the formula on my skin, but that did not happen with this mascara. It immediately picked up every tiny little lash and coated them just perfectly. My lashes look so pretty, a very flirty fanned out look, and definitely longer! The only thing this mascara doesn't do is make lashes look a lot thicker, but I don't think this mascara was created with that in mind. I believe their focus was on creating a very lengthening mascara that grabs each lash quickly and easily and they perfected that goal. No wonder they put a patent on it! I am charmed with this mascara in every way.

Most Helpful Critical Review flakes and smudges badly I was super excited to try this mascara when I saw I would be receiving it in a voxbox because I absolutely love benefit. The concept is really awesome and innovative. I had high expectations for this mascara. Benefit claims it won't smudge or flake. I've worn this mascara 4 times and it has flaked and smudged every single time. As soon as I opened the tube of mascara I noticed the formula was more on the dry side than most. The first time I tried it I wore it with no other makeup. It immediately started flaking on me. After wearing it for about an hour I looked in the mirror and was shocked to see full on raccoon eyes.. it was heavily smudged all under my eyes. The second time I tried it with just concealer and foundation and again it started flaking almost immediately. It smudged again but not as bad as the first time with raccoon eyes. The third and fourth time I applied it with a full face of makeup and set my under eyes with powder hoping that would stop it from smudging.. didn't help at all. Again it immediately started flaking and within an hour there were smudges under my eyes. The longer I wore it the more smudges. I'm giving it 2 starts because I do like the way it makes my lashes look and the concept but I won't be wearing it again due to how badly it flakes and smudges. The original they're real mascara is way better and the roller lash is even better than the original they're real. I've posted pictures with the mascara immediately after applying it and after wearing it for at least an hour resulting it smudges under my eyes.

I used this for a week before reviewing. I LOVE IT! My lashes were longer, darker, and lightweight. I hate when mascara makes my lashes feel heavy, but this doesn't at all! More importantly...it stayed PUT all day (and overnight) BUT was easily removed! I am very satisfied with this mascara and that doesn't happen often! (Before & after below)

✅The Benefit 'they're real' magnet lengthening mascara does what it promises to do. When I use this mascara my lashes are noticeably longer.
✅ The design of the wand prevented clumps and an over abundance of product during application.
❌The magnet aspect meant that when I was touching up I often just pulled the lashes askew.
📣This is a lengthening mascara and it did lengthen my lashes. If you're looking for volume, try a volume enhancing mascara because this won't do that. It's a one trick pony but at least it's advertised as such.

This is the first time I've tried any Benefit product. It went on smooth. There were no clumps. It did feel magnetic when applying it with the brush. I struggle with mascara sometimes. It's difficult to separate lashes and get them straight. With this mascara, I had no issues with that. I'd buy it!

I love this mascara honestly. The only thing I'd change is the price lol. It did great at lifting my lashes and volumizing them. The packaging is super cute too it has a magnet too and a tight closing so it won't dry out

This is a great lengthening mascara that is long wearing even with my constant allergies. I only had one small bit that I had to wipe away after about 8 hours due to my eyes watering. The length of my lashes was on par with other lengthening mascaras, but I would buy this one again due to the longer wear.

Overall a really good mascara. I'd love to give this mascara 5 stars, but it ran just a bit too much for me to be fully happy with it. Had I applied a setting powder that might have helped, or had I gotten the waterproof version... I found that it took 3 coats to get both volume and thickness. But overall a really good mascara for a dramatic eyelash.

I loved that it made my lashes double the length and it was long wearing even though it is not waterproof. When I was removing it at the end of the day, it was so easy! Also, shoutout to the packaging because the magnet of the wand is so cute! Overall, love!

I wanted to love this mascara way more than I did. I have pretty long lashes but they are not very thick! I need volume and this is def more natural. If you have straight, hard to curl lashes... I would stay away from this! If you vibe with natural, you'll love!

I am enjoying using this mascara. I like using it on my upper lashes because it definitely doesn't clump them up, they are nice and even. They also did lengthen my upper lashes nicely as well. I don't prefer to use them on my lower lashes though unless I'm wearing liner because it gets on my lower lash line due to the shape of the wand. the wand is a tubular cylinder of even proportion. I wouldn't purchase with my own money though.

I tried this mascara after receiving in my benefit voxbox. It's a good mascara. The formula glides in without clumping. The wand isn't small but overly big either. It does lengthen and separate but my lashes are not naturally long so I didn't get that false lash affect. I did notice as the day went on I had some run off at the bottom of my lash line but that's the only complaint I have about it.

i had high hopes but this mascara was awful compared to my $8 mascara. it did not lengthen at all, FLAKED and SMUDGED which it says on the box it won't. the whole "magnetic" thing does not work and it even came off the tips of my lashes. the picture i took is after 9 hours of wear and multiple touch ups of the black smudging under my eyes. i received this free for my review.

I was shopping on Ulta for a perfume when I came across these magnet lashes and when I saw I'm crazy for mascara I truly am! This mascara is long lasting and so black that it makes your eyes look big and bold! Definitely recommend

I was a bit skeptical when I first received this mascara; however after using it for several days I am very satisfied! This mascara lengthened my lashes, thickened them, and made them appear fuller without leaving clumps. The brush provided an easy, smooth application. Even after rubbing my eyes, it did not smudge. Also, it washed off easily at the end of the day. The only negatives is that it required multiple coats and it did not last all day. This is one of the better mascaras I have tried!

I immediately fell in love with this mascara after using it once. The volume and fullness I got from one coat had me speechless. The stay is very nice too it lasted me a whole day of running around and still looked like i had just put it on. Towards the end of the day i had a couple black flakes fall onto my undereyes but very minimal compared to a full day of other mascaras. I would recommend using a lash curler just before applying to maximize volume and curling effect!

This mascara does exactly what it says and I was initially very happy with it, unfortunately as I wore it throughout the day, it transferred onto my lid. I will not be purchasing this again. There are too many great mascaras at the same price point that don't transfer.

Just like probably everyone else here I have no clue why Benefit would ever think to put a magnet in my mascara wand, and this could be a total placebo effect but BOY were my lashes sky high after applying this mascara! The added volume and length made this such a winner, and the best part was there was minimal clumping. Extremely buildable and had a super bold finish! Love it!

Definitely lengthening! it looks amazing, but for me personally it smudges with sweat, oil etc. I looked little bit like a raccoon some days. I will still continue to use it thought, because of how nice it makes eyelashes look.

My lashes were LONG when I put this on! The magnetic brush helps with clumping and bringing my lashes to its highest potential. Also my lashes are already thick, however it does give the illusion of volume. Very buildable. I would recommend a micellar water product to wash off. Definitely recommends

I received this mascara for free in exchange for my honest review and I have enjoyed testing it out for the past week. I was able to achieve longer, fuller lashes with a super smooth and easy application. I preferred using a quick coat for a more natural enhancement, but it was buildable for a glam effect. In the future I would skip the bottom lashes which were a little more difficult to manage without getting product on my skin (as is the case with most mascaras for me). I did notice some minor transfer under my eyes throughout the day, particularly with heavier application. Otherwise, this formulation is lightweight and non-irritating, and remains clump- and flake-free throughout the day. I appreciate how easy it is to remove at the day's end. I treat my lashes with a growth serum every other night: the side by side shows baseline, then after one coat and a smile. Overall, I would recommend this mascara, especially for those wishing for longer lashes without much effort at all.

Super nice lengthening mascara! Didn't flake onto my face throughout the day and didn't even run when I cried with it on! Makes my lashes look nice and long without looking clumpy at all. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a natural mascara that still enhances your eyelashes! Definitely a new favorite of mine!
