Most Helpful Positive Review It stays on, use this advice 40+ woman with slightly wrinkled, smoker's lips (ya I know I know gross, is what it is). I've used tons of higher end matte lipsticks (ABH, Jeffree Star, Fenty, MAC, Stila etc) prior to this and my only complaint is most of those actually accentuate my lips wrinkles instead of hiding them. But I hate regular lipsticks of any kind because they don't ever stay on for more than 5 minutes. So that being said, this stuff is pretty amazing! It truly lasted me 14 hours with no issues after I figured out how to get the best from it. It CAN live up to the hype if you properly apply. It is lightweight, practically no scent, and very smooth to apply. I have two colors now and plan to purchase more immediately.
There's a few things though:
-You must apply a THIN layer of color to dry lips and if you have even the slightest wrinkled lips, you should put it on with your lips sorta stretched (like in a wide smile) to smooth out those wrinkles for the application of the color. You need to keep that smile with the stretch until the lip color is dry. If you don't stretch out, the cracks can dry without any color in them and it is more difficult to fill in and make it look right. So do the stretch till dry!
-This lip color does take a little (I said a little, not forever) longer than average to dry completely. I'm talking 1-2 minutes. And it NEEDS to dry all the way! Test for dryness by rubbing your finger over or lightly tapping your lips together. If it's still tacky... let it dry longer (and keep the lips stretched out smooth remember!). Think of it drying completely like putting a sealant on it, when it's totally dry it is sealed for protection. Or this way, would you sit on wet paint? Duh NO! If you did, you'd take paint with you when you stood up and ruin the seal of the paint. This is like that, don't apply gloss and ruin the seal too soon....ALL. THE. WAY. DRY. to make a layer of protection against food and things.
-If you have to do more than one coat of this lip color then let each THIN layer completely dry in between coats and still smooth out any wrinkles for every coat too. But again, think like this: When you paint your nails with regular old nail polish if you let each coat dry between, you get better results overall. They dry quicker, the polish doesn't get clumpy because it was too tacky when you appled the next coat, the polish can last longer. You apply 2-3 layers of nail polish really quickly what happens? Those things will NEVER dry, you probably end up with a gooey one that the polish gets ruined, etc. So this is the same thought..thin coats that are dry completely before the next coat for the best results!
-The gloss is NOT a sealant for the lip color itself, it is for a nice, softer effect only. Actually when done correctly, gloss can help hide the flaws of wrinkled lips and this one does amazingly. I love it! Prior to applying the gloss, the color HAS to be completely dry (see above).
-If you scrub or moisturize your lips do it the night before because oils break down the seal of this color, it will then get flakely as the day goes on if you have moisturizer that's been left behind. So beware, you eat greasy foods at lunch, you're probably going to lose some color right where the food touches the most.
-If you do apply it too thickly from the get go, it will flake or get chunky. I too, did this upon first try. It's got to be thin. It's a wonderful smooth and light consistency so it's easy to apply thinly. You do end up with too much on the wand upon pulling it out of the tube, so be prepared to scrape some back in to the tube before applying.
-The gloss does wear off, duh, it's gloss! Never has anyone made a gloss that stays on forever. Here's the thing, just put a little more on if you want. The gloss is thin, not tacky and a little goes a long way. Your color will be there anyway without it. And compared to most matte lipsticks, this actually still has some shine even without their gloss. Most matte lipsticks make your lips look like the Sahara Desert and then you need a dab of chapstick before or after to help. This is not like that.
-Removal basically requires an oil to break it down. A regular facial cleanser isn't going to cut it. Most makeup wipes wont cut it. This stuff is made to withstand a storm :-) so some basic facial products won't do the job. I just dabbed several q-tips in my coconut oil and applied it to my lips in a circular motion. As it breaks down the lipstick, I use the q-tips to remove it too. Could probably use cotton balls etc, but I didn't want to smear it everywhere, so q-tips keep it kind of tidy when removing. Then you're also not scrubbing your lips to death. I also used my Clinique cleansing balm as well and it also worked at removal. Heck olive oil or something might work too.
Most Helpful Critical Review I expected much more! A little goes a long way and it spreads and smudges very easily. I would not use it without the gloss for a matte look, it is extremely drying! It does look look beautiful with the gloss on top. The gloss does have to be reapplied since the mask takes that off. Alot comes off when eating. And even before eating little peices of color were chipping off and it smudged on the outer line of my lip, which was extremely annoying. A little bit still transferred on my mask throughout the day. This is not a product I would add into my kit for clients because with everything I experienced I know they won't be happy. I'm glad I tried it first.

It's very drying and does not look good.
This really stays! 5

I purchased Ambition Statement and World Shaper. Upon applying the color I made sure not to rub my lips together as it dries since the color does get very tacky. The color itself is very drying, but the gloss helps. The product feels very comfortable once all is said and done, and I don't notice I have anything on once the gloss rubs off after eating/drinking. The color truly does not come off the lips, but is a bit flaky at first from the inner portion of the lips. I've found that the finger trick works to get rid of the flaky bits. I have fair skin with cool undertones, brown hair and eyes, and found World Shaper to be a bit too peachy for me. Ambition Statement is a GREAT neutral brown for my complexion. Overall will definitely be buying more colors!
Smudge Proof 5

Completely smudge proof! The gloss does wear off so if you want that glossy look make sure you have this or a backup. I personally like matte lips more, so it didn't bother me :)
Holly grail for this mask wearing 5
Cutie411 from Camarillo,ca
This product is by far the best especially with this whole pandemic mask wearing. The lipstick stays; it's also smudge proof . Yes, the lipstick it self is drying but when you put up the gloss in it helps. Also, the list Ickes are also high pigment. Hope that helps y'all!!
Amazing! Better then that MLM lip color and gloss duo. 5

I am absolutely in love with this stuff!
I had been a fan of LipSense for years but lately have really wanted to find something not mlm based. Everything I tried failed when compared against the LipSense. And then a friend recommended the Shine Loud. OMG! It's just as good if not even better!
The Shine Loud is 1/4 of the price of the other stuff, goes on in one easy coat that you can absolutely rub your lips together to spread on evenly, the color doesn't burn and sting like the LS, and the gloss is just the best ever!
The Shine Loud is more mask proof than anything I've tried. Yes, a tiny smidge of color will transfer to the inside of your mask but that's with everything. I've worn the bright In Charge color all day and it still looks amazing after eating, drinking, and masking. It does fade from my waterline but so did the LS. Honestly the Shine Loud fades way less than the LS for me.
One thing to note is you absolutely MUST use the gloss. Wearing the color alone will not work and will just dry out your lips. Use the gloss!
I will be buying this in every color and I hope they keep making it forever! Fingers crossed that they release it in a bright green for St Patrick's Day!
Oh! And I've had really great luck using the Maybelline Superlast Eraser to take the Shine Loud off. Put it on, rub your lips together, wait 1-2 minutes, wipe it off. The darker colors do leave a hint of a stain but that's because the color literally absorbed into your skin. It should disappear by morning. :)
I keep buying more! 5

I now am the proud owner of 5 of these, all different colors. I wish they had more colors that were lighter but I am happy with the ones I have gotten. Long lasting, not drying and vibrant colors. So glad I tried this and hope they come out with more colors and keep making them! I have tried many other long lasting lipsticks and nothing compares to this one. It also passed my mask test for the day at work with putting it on and taking it off many times and it still lasts.
This is the only lip stain that has ever leased on me. 5
Maureen from Delaware
As I type this lip satin has been on me for 13 hours. Very minimal fade towards my inner lips. I have had lunch and tacos for dinner. Brushed my teeth, wiped my mouth and it is still there. It is incredible. I am wearing to bed to see just how long it does last. I need more colors. Tried all the expensive brands and they were gone within hours.
Finally! 5
Pookabear from MI
I found this product on utube. Watched a ton of videos to see color swatches. Finally picked magic maker . Color was perfect. Product stayed on after lunch!. Does not feel drying . I have been looking for an all day lip product as my lips have lost color as I age. Can't wait to see how this does over time...
It didn't last very long on my lips. 3
Jess from Seaside, Ca
Love the color and gloss but it chips off after a few hours. Somewhat drying when the gloss wears off. I have found other brands last much longer and are less drying on the lips.
Why wasn't this out a long time ago 5

This is the ultimate liquid lipstick holy grail! Doubt I will be going back to any other liquid lipstick!! We need more colors!! It does not budge even after eating greasy foods, and wearing my mask running around!
Take it or leave it 3

I'm really not sure what all the hype is with this. It's no better than the Maybelline or L'oreal version. I still prefer Maybelline, it has a better gloss side.
Not worth it 1
Chloe from Az
The gloss does not dry down, it'll rub off. The color does stay but it's patchy and creases. Definitely not how it's perceived on social media. Going to try it with different products to see if it works better but first try; not worth it.
Not worth the hype 2
Rose from Washington
While it lives up to the promise of no transfer once the gloss is applied, the color itself is super drying. The formula acts more like a stain and is nearly impossible to get off completely (I had to use a lip scrub to remove all the color). It also stained my fingers and the skin around my mouth.
Really does stay all day 5
Mia from Ca
Great product! I searched on my arm and it took everything I had to get it off. Only thing is some of the shades on here show a color but when you get it, it's completely different. But they are still cute colors so it's worth it.
Disgusted 1

Wow. I went out for a night and it was the worst lip stick ever!!!! It was all over my teeth and the worst part is that it dried out and was crusted all over my lips!! It was so embarrassing!!! It also completely chapped and I was full of gaps. Don't waste ur money.
smudge proof 5
monica from oahu
this is AMAZING. The gloss comes off a little if you wipe it hard but the pigment doesn't budge! I gave a blow Bob( if you catch my drift) and it still looks great.
Don't sleep on the royal blue! 5

I bought 4. two every day colors and the bright blue and the peacock color. OH my gosh! absolutely beautiful!
Not worth it 2
Vane from Los Angeles
These lipsticks are not worth it. They are very dry and they crack easily. It is not worth the money at all. The only thing that is nice is the gloss. Tiktok disappointed me trust me don't buy these.
Good 4
Alo from Texas
At first it will feel sticky but when u put the gloss that will go away. It definitely does fade away especially with the mask and daily activities but it is a nice gloss and it does not transfer. If it would last longer I would have given it 5 stars.
Wow! Truly smudge-proof. 5
Callie from Arkansas
This product is amazing. It truly is smudge-proof. I will be buying more!
Real Staying Power 5
Raquel from San Diego, CA
The night I bought this product I decided to put it on just before going to sleep. I wanted to see if it would really stay on. When I woke up the next morning the color remained on my lips. The color did not transfer to anywhere else. This is the first lip product I feel comfortable wearing while having to wear a mask. It stays on your lips and does not come off until you take it off.
definitely worth the hype 5
dani from VA
definitely worth it. its the only lipstick ive used that doesn't transfer at all. it doesn't feel drying as long as you use the top coat, but by itself it feels kind of heavy. the applicator is kind of big and messy so be careful. take your time applying it because its a real pain to remove.
Definitely worth the hype 4
Joann from Philly, PA
I saw this lipstick on Tik Tok. It definitely has a lot of shine when you first put it on. It doesn't come off either when wearing a mask. The only issue is the shine doesn't stay on long and the lipstick does stay on for a long time but mostly the outline of your lip.
Lasted eating a burger 5
LipstickB13 from Tennessee
Yalllllll this stuff is the real deal. I wore "magic maker" for TEN HOURS and even ate a burger. No white center of my lips at all and it honestly still looked smooth. No cracking. Not drying. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Better than any other long lasting lip that I've tried 5
Elicia from Long Beach
I got Magic Maker and Never Basic which says it's a burgundy but it's a really dark brown. It's still an interesting color but not an everyday color that I was hoping for. I'm ordering 5 more colors cause the price is great! It does last long and it stays on under a mask. Eating and drinking won't make it go away either. One had a bent wand but I just bent it back and it's fine. I used my makeup eraser which took a bit of effort and patience, I will try using cleansing water too next time.
