After reading some reviews, I decided to go ahead and take a chance on this product. I couldn't decide which type of Wakse beads to try out, so I chose these since I liked the color. Here's everything you need to know about these beads before you make the purchase: Color: The beads are cute and t...hey melt into a beautiful, rose gold, pink color that I really enjoyed looking at. It also made it easy to see where I applied the wax and if it grabbed the hair. Texture: It heats up into a runny liquid and goes on soft. Unfortunately, it dries hard since it dries very quickly, giving it a hard/thin plasticy feel to it. Use & Experience: I decided to start waxing my legs at home to save some money and wanted to try Wakse for my first at-home waxing job. When I started the process, I chose to use the Wakse melting pot as advised. I poured about 1/4 of the jar into the pot and it melted in about 5-15 minutes (depending on how hot the pot got). I learned you should use at least 1/2 of the jar for a proper amount to get onto the applicator and apply thickly, so I did this for the rest of my wax job. Once the wax was melted, it was able to stick onto the applicator sticks fairly easily, but when I applied it I just couldn't get enough on the stick to be consistently thick enough to properly wax despite using about 1/2 of the jar. Not only that, the wax dries WAY too quickly to be able to pull it off without it shattering. I read quite a few reviews saying to apply the wax on thickly to prevent this so I did so, but regardless the wax would dry instantly and would break off in pieces rather than one long strip. This made it very difficult to wax my legs efficiently, thus making the process last 3 hours for me to do it myself rather than the 1 hour it would take to get it done at EWC. Unfortunately, even though I used the entire jar of the wax beads, I was only able to wax the front of my legs, leaving the back still covered in hair in addition to several missed patches and strands of the hair on the front of my legs. I realized about half way through my first leg that the entire jar wasn't going to be enough to complete the front and back of both legs, so I decided to sacrifice the backs of my legs to do as much as I could on the fronts. I'm about 5'5 and my legs aren't very long, so you could imagine my disappointment when I had just used the largest jar of beads Wakse sells and it wasn't even enough to do even one full, complete leg. I plan on waxing my legs at home again, but I will not be using Wakse beads next time. I think the beads could work for smaller projects, but they should definitely not be used for large projects like arms and legs (unless you plan to purchase 2-3 jars of the beads, but they will not work in the small Wakse warmer pot due to its size).
