ICruelty Free? Peta? Leaping Bunny? 3 rd party tested? Sold in china ? ( where they test on animals)
- Asked by Deb
- Official Answer By Pureology - BEHi there, no, Pureology a brand of L'Oréal does not test any of its products on animals, nor carry out any animal testing in our labs in China. Over the past few years, China has removed the requirement to do any animal testing for the great majority of cosmetics sold in the country. Pureology pioneered products with zero sulfates and vegan ingredients. Our goal was to create the best professional products for color-treated hair without sacrificing purity for performance. We hope this helps. Was this answer helpful to you

Hi! Is the hydrate sheer shampoo & conditioner safe to use on hair that's not color treated? I had a sample and I love the way it makes my hair look & feel. However, my hair is not dyed. Also is it a purple shampoo for blonde hair? Or is the color of the shampoo just purple & doesn't impact your hair? Asking because I have dark brown hair & don't want it to affect my hair color.
- Asked by Elizabeth
- Official Answer By Pureology - BEHello Elizabeth, thank you for inquiring about Hydrate Sheer Shampoo and Conditioner. These products are formulated for safe use on both color-treated and virgin hair. The subtle purple hue in the formula will not alter your hair color. I have very thin and less hair which are usually oily from the roots and extremely frizzy from roots down so I was wondering if it's ok to use volume shampoo and Hydrate sheer conditioner or I should stick to same shampoo and conditioner?
- Asked by Pixie
- Official Answer By Pureology - BEHi thanks for your question. There would be no problem mixing different formulas, however for optimum results, using the system is recommended. Hydrate Sheer Conditioner is very light weight and may not provide enough moisture to your frizzy hair. you may want to consider the Hydrate system, which will not weight down fine hair. Was this answer helpful to you

I recently asked if your product contains any lavender and instead of an answer i was sent the ingredients list which i already had from your website. I needed to know specifically if any if the ingredients are lavender products. Your list includes generalized ingredients like lanilool which could come from any number of sources. I guess i wont be trying any of your products since you wouldn't answer my question.

I have fine, blonde highlighted hair that is currently very dry at the ends but oily at roots. I also tend to have a lot of frizz, which I can't determine if its because of the dryness or not. Aside from all of this, I've noticed that some sections of my hair form defined waves and some are straight when I let my hair air-dry. Although I have fine hair (what I believe is to be fine), I also have a lot of it. Sometimes I feel because the amount of hair I have, it's hard to judge if it's fine or not, since I have LOTS of it. I want my hair to be healthy and not weighed down. Which shampoo/conditioner is best for me?
- Asked by XimeSkinGuru
- Official Answer By Pureology - BEHi there! Thank you for your interest in Pureology. For fine hair with oily roots, you may want to try Pure Volume Shampoo and Conditioner. Had an unexpected minty tingle to it, nice and refreshing!
The conditioner was light enough to not weigh my hair down. Even though it was light on the hair it still made it smooth and easy to comb through. I was not expecting it to be on a minty side and have a bit of a tingle to the scalp. I rather enjoy that type of conditioner, I just would of liked to ...

Please bring back Hydrate Light
I have used Hydrate Light for years and it is the perfect conditioner for those of us that find Hydrate too heavy. This conditioner left my hair stiff, unmanageable and unbelievably left a slight gummy residue. I have tried it a few times to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong like using too ...

I wouldn't buy this product again
Hair Type Straight Hair
My hair is thin. The product itself is probably great , but not for my thin hair . It left it very soft & not workable. Perhaps the volume shampoo would have been a better choice. I went off a recommendation when buying the sheer.
My hair was soft and shiny ✨️
