PRO TIP: Work quick, one eye at a time - Tattoo Pencil Liner dries down fast so you can set it and forget it.
MISSING THE POINT? Lay a tissue on a flat surface, then drag and twist the pencil to reshape the tip for precision.
LINE IT: Glide the pencil along the lash line and/or waterline. For a softer look, use a small, dense brush or your finger to gently smudge the line.
LIQUID SMOKE: Create a wing with Tattoo Liner in TROOPER BLACK on the upper lash line, then use a color Tattoo Pencil Liner shade to quickly smoke out your lower lash line and waterline for an undersmoke look. KVD Beauty likes AZURITE BLUE, but you do you.
TIGHTLINE: After lining with Tattoo Liner, use Tattoo Pencil Liner in TROOPER BLACK or PYROLUSITE BROWN to fill in any gaps in your upper waterline for a seamless look. Apply CANVAS BEIGE or PEARLSPAR WHITE in your lower waterline for a wide-awake, bright-eyed effect.
HIGHLIGHT: Use metallic shade PEARLSPAR WHITE to highlight the inner corner of your eyes. Try it on your brow bone, cheekbones, and nose. Use your finger to quickly blend it out for a high-impact highlight effect.

HAS TO BE BLACK!!
This is my favorite liner, by far, fot tight-lining the upper eyelid. It goes on easily, stays put, and doesn't transfer. BUT, I am specifically speaking on the "trooper black" shade. Very poor quality
I was looking for a cruelty free eyeliner that comes in multiple colors instead of the usual shades of black/brown, and after testing a bunch at an Ulta store, I decided to get the KVD one in several shades during the 21 days of beauty sale. The one I tested in the store was soft and glided seamles...

Don't Buy
I've never bought Kat Von D cosmetics and decided I would try the Radium Green eyeliner, and it was a complete disappointment straight out of the box. I opened the lid to a brand new eyeliner and the long stick of green eyeliner product came flying out of the applicator tube. I put it back into the plastic tube and back in the original packaging, and it will be going back to ULTA for a return and refund. Seriously, such poor quality product or product design fail. Just read other reviews and don't but this "Tattoo Pencil Liner" gel eyeliner. I'm saving anyone else the disappointment and time spent returning.

HAS TO BE BLACK!!
This is my favorite liner, by far, fot tight-lining the upper eyelid. It goes on easily, stays put, and doesn't transfer. BUT, I am specifically speaking on the "trooper black" shade. The other colors dry out very quickly and will not apply easily. Before I tried KVD,, the longest wearing, non-transfer liners for tigh-lighting were Marc Jacobs, which have sadly been discontinued. If it is a black liner you want for tight-lining, please trust me and try this one. I've tried hundreds of liners and this is the best, by far, for being non-transferable. TIP: Make sure to keep the lid on tightly when not in use. If you neglect to do this, it will dry out fast. But, I believe that this same "problem" is what makes it adhere to the waterline so well. I guess it dries to a very solid finish and therefore doesn't budget easily. Just make sure that as soon as you purchase yours, check to make sure isn't already dried out. If the cap was not put on tightly during manufacturing, or someone has opened it already and didn't put the lid back tightly, it will be dry. Good thing Ulta is so great about returns. Purchase in-store, check it before you leave, and if it's already dry, exchange it immediately. This may sound like a pain and waste of time, but trust me, it's worth it if you want a liner to stay on your waterline. Side note: As a makeup artist of 24 years, do not be afraid of black liner in your upper tight-line area! It most definitely makes your eyes stand out better and look brighter than any colored or lighter liner. AND, if you wear black mascara, as most of us do, a black tight-line blends seamlessly with your lashes, making the base of the lashes look thicker! If you like other colors, definitely play around with those, very lightly smudged underneath your eyes, and/or, very lightly run a SUPER thin line along the top of the lash line, or lightly smudged between top lashes at their base. But, again, in the under lid area, just beneath the top lash-line nothing beats black.
Disappointed
I have always loved his brand but got a gel eyeliner that can't get any color at all. :( I always get gel ao it is easy to apply. This was hard as a rock!
