My skin is very pale and cool toned. Cool Ivory has been recommended as light and neutral. However other Clinique "Ivory" tones pull quite warm/yellow. Is the undertone really neutral, like gray?

Ivory, in all of our foundations, is a fair shade with a cool undertone, which indicates that it has more pink than yellow. Different foundation formulas can make the same shade vary sligthly - either lighter or darker. The yellowing you are noticing, with the Ivory you have tried, is most likely an indication that the shade is too deep and you will want to go one step lighter, generally Creamwhip. However, Matte Ivory in the Superpowder is the lightest shade - fair and cool. Wouldn't buy again
Not any better than drugstore powder foundation. Accentuates dry patches and just sits on your skin. Not for mature skin.

My favorite powder is still the Blended Loose Powder, but this one has been great for on-the-go powdering of my nose, which is still shiny at age 73. I purchased this product because it is recommended for dry skin types and comes in a mirrored compact. As others have suggested, I may try applying it as a foundation when I want to leave the house quickly. I typically use a little foundation in areas with redness, but if this conceals it, I may appreciate its dual use.
On the fence
I wanted something that would be a quick way to even out my skin without needing to do a full prep and liquid foundation. This kind of fits the bill, but not if you have dry skin. I have learned that I have to prep and moisturize my skin well for this to look nice.
I would buy this product again.
