My skin is very pale and cool toned. Cool Ivory has been recommended as light and neutral. However other Clinique "Ivory" tones pull quite warm/yellow. Is the undertone really neutral, like gray?

Ivory, in all of our foundations, is a fair shade with a cool undertone, which indicates that it has more pink than yellow. Different foundation formulas can make the same shade vary sligthly - either lighter or darker. The yellowing you are noticing, with the Ivory you have tried, is most likely an indication that the shade is too deep and you will want to go one step lighter, generally Creamwhip. However, Matte Ivory in the Superpowder is the lightest shade - fair and cool. I've been testing the Superpowder Double Face Makeup, and I must say — it lives up to its claims. The formula works well both on its own and over foundation, giving a smooth, matte finish. It's lightweight but provides good coverage and stays put for hours without touch-ups. Ideal for quick fixes too!
