IDK about this one, friends. I like a Korean-style lippie, in all their variants. I thought this one would be like the Laka Fruity Glam Tint, which is a tad finicky to work with but in the end is a comfortable formula. Maybe Maybelline changed this formula since its release, because all the talk about them being dry ... HOW? I got Mascara Tear purely for the color, which is great, but it is SO sticky and patchy. I followed some advice here, put a peptide lip balm below, and the product never set and became stringy when i open/close my mouth. So took it all over, applied on clean/dry lip, and waited 10mins/blotted etc, and my mouth stuck to the tissue leaving white bits everywhere. So started again and DIDNT wipe it off, and about 40 mins in, i had to take it off because I was just so conscious of my mouth. My lips were sticking together when just sitting at my desk doing work (i.e. not eating/drinking/posing etc). I will keep playing and see if there are alt modes of wearing.... but yeah dont believe the Tiktok/IG reviews. This is not comfortable and NOTHING like the Peripera Velvet Tints comparison (of which i own 5-6 shades, and besides the Rom&nd Blur Fudge Tint is still the best matte lip tint/stick in the K-Beauty game).
beautiful color, but so so so sticky
the color "20 mascara tear" is the exact color ive been hunting for, but after letting this sit for 10 minutes and wiping off my lips with a napkin, IT WAS STILL SO STICKY! i jokingly stuck a lip liner to my lips and it clung onto my lips so well. yes, thats how sticky it is!! it is also VERY streaky and patchy. ive seen so many positive reviews on tiktok, very untrue reviews. overall, the color i got is gorgeous and the tint left behind is too, but it being so sticky is not it

Goes on patchy and dries super sticky like glue. Don't bother, this product is terrible

you can't wear a good amount or it'll stay sticky all day. ALL day! if you keep it sheer the stickiness goes away... after an hour at least. it's absurd. no liquid lipstick i've worn has ever been this sticky for me.
So pretty
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This is such a pretty shade. It reminds me of that trend where people used cherries as lipstick for photos. Pretty matte finish but its more of a tint than a lip stick. Minimal if no smell. Did not seem to transfer. Luxurious packaging.
