Good For the Price, Lacking as a Dupe

I was excited by the prospect of a cheaper alternative to my holy grail Too Faced Pillow Balm, but was quickly reminded that I probably should've lowered my expectations for something so inexpensive. Not the dupe you're looking for

I bought this because it's clearly supposed to be a dupe for the Too Faced Pillow Balm, which is my favorite lip product on the planet. Sadly, this falls way short. It's a much thinner consistency. The shimmer makes it gritty. Also, there's no scent or flavor, if you're looking for that. Not even th...

OBSESSED!!!

I couldn't adore this lip treatment more. I keep a tube near my comfy spot on the couch and when I am winding down and relaxing, this is the first thing I put on to hydrate my always-dry lips. I must be on my 10th tube and keep coming back!!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I was excited by the prospect of a cheaper alternative to my holy grail Too Faced Pillow Balm, but was quickly reminded that I probably should've lowered my expectations for something so inexpensive. Compared to Pillow Balm, it's a slightly thinner consistency (though no less moisturizing, to be fair), slightly more gritty (can feel the glitter when rubbing lips together for a good 15 minutes after applying), unscented (smells like it's ingredients, not a light sweet cosmetic fragrance), and lacks that little bit of menthol that gives Pillow Balm it's signature faint plumping and lip blushing power. As a standalone, it's a great hydrating balmy gloss for a greater price that gives a faint opalescent sheen, hydrates lips to fill lip lines, and keeps lips moisturized, giving the lips a non-sticky, glossy look until it's fully absorbed without leaving a sticky residue. If you're looking specifically for a Too Faced Pillow Balm dupe, I'd look elsewhere. If you're looking for a nourishing, glossy, moisture packed lip balm alternative for a great price, you won't be disappointed.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
