Great product, Great packaging, Poor blending
To start, the packaging is fairly standard, but what sets it apart is the smart cap technology—it changes color from clear to blue when exposed to harmful UV light. I think that's such a clever touch, and honestly, something I wish all sunscreen brands would incorporate. As for the ingredients, they...

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. I have been using Blue Lizard products for a while now. I have used the regular lotion and a spray version. This is the first time I used a sport lotion. I love that these products are environmentally conscious. This lotion does leave a white cast at first but blends in on my pale skin pretty easily. I don't feel greasy nor does it make me break out. I don't particularly love how it smells but that goes away pretty quickly so it doesn't bother me. I worked out in the gardens in the high humidity for several hours and did not burn. My girls use the other products and successfully prevent burning when they are going to be out for hours at a time. I did not reapply in the time I was out.
Best mineral sunscreen!

I love using this sunscreen! It's thicker and SO easy to rub in! It doesn't leave any streaky messes and it absorbs so well into the skin. I have used this every time I go out in the sun and haven't burned once! It doesn't have a strong smell, just that hint of sunscreen! I love that it's mineral sunscreen as well!

This sunscreen lasts for hours. Even after being in the water and sun. It's gentle on the skin and it rubs into the skin great. It works well for hot summer days.

I've been trying to steer clear of aerosols so I was excited to try this! It's thick, so you only need to apply a small amount. I only needed to apply twice during our 6 hour beach trip and I burn easily. It held up in the water and sitting out! Hands down the best for actually staying on and not needing to reapply.
Sadly I won't be trying this product due to the toxic ing...

I was really eager to try this sunscreen. Unfortunately it has a really toxic ingredient that I definitely will be avoiding putting on my body. I loved that it was mineral but wow this ingredient is definitely worth looking into if you're not too familiar with it. It's called butyloctyl salicylate. Highly don't recommend this.

- Q
How do the electolytes enter one's body? Also what is the virtue of topical electrolytes as opposed to drinking Gatorade, for example?
- Asked by Ilfeldini
- Official Answer By Blue Lizard - Brand EngageGreat question! Electrolytes delivered topically don't enter the body perse like those you ingest. They work mostly on the outer layer of skin attracting water and balancing moisture as well as supporting the skin barrier which acts to lock moisture in skin. Was this answer helpful to you
