Q&A

Showing 5 out of 6 Questions
Q
Is this a suitable brush for general hair brushing on short and longer hair styles?
Asked by Elizabeth
Official Answer By Diane - Brand Engage
Diane’s Boar Bristle Curved Smoothing Brush has medium-firm bristles and can be used for a variety of hair lengths and textures depending on the technique. As a detangler it would be best suited to thinner, fine hair of any length. As a smoothing brush it can be used for slicked-back ponytails or buns on any hair texture or length. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
On a scale of 1-10 how firm would you say the bristles are on this brush?
Asked by Maggie

On scale of 1-10, we would rate the bristles firmness as a 5. The bristles are a mix of boar and nylon. This brush is available in stores if you would like to feel the bristles for yourself. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Will this brush straighten shorter hair?
Asked by Daysgirl

The Diane Smoothing Brush is for smoothing flyaways when styling your hair in a ponytail, bun or updo. We recommend a round brush if you’re looking to smooth and straighten your hair with a blow dryer. Was this answer helpful to you

looking for a new brush that wasn't too flimsy feeling on my head..this fis the bill. This brush is a pretty minty teal color and it's curved, so it brushes nicely on your head.

upon buying in person, i was so excited by its design: the gorgeous blue color, the curve, its pointed tip! worked well for a month. however! after cleaning with soap and warm water, the paint began to bubble and peel off the brush. i attempted to email diane beauty with my concerns, only to receive an "undeliverable mail returned to sender" email. i tried Twice. this is a more expensive boar bristle brush, too (ive seen some for $4.99/5.99 in ny; around 1/2 the price)—i wanted the premium feel to last longer than a few weeks :/ ultimately i feel unsatisfied with their customer service and the longevity of this brush. i bypassed cheaper brushes looking for a nicer experience; this didn't last for very long. if you're set on getting this, buy knowing you're taking this risk. cheers.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
