The Hair Edit kindly gave me this French hair pin for free so that I could review it. The hair pin is made of a very durable, thick plastic. It does not feel fragile or easily breakable. I love to have my hair pulled back, but don't want to use bands, as they pull too tight. This pin provides an elegant and easy solution. I have fine, shoulder-length hair, so the pin doesn't want to stay in if my hair is freshly washed. If I use a dry shampoo or a texture spray of some kind, it holds pretty well.

This product was great for quick twists and buns to keep my hair out of my eyes on off my neck. The pin itself was nice and strong and had a good weight and grip. The paint/coating on the pin didn't hold up well. It wore off in some places, I'm assuming from hair products, and chipped off in others after going in my makeup bag.

I really like it! I use it very often, it's great for updos and half updos. It can be worn in a casual style or a more formal style. It's very sturdy. Although I Absolutely recommend it, I also have to say that in my opinion it works best in thicker hair and hair with texture.
