We generally advise customers to always replace the tip cover after use, and do not allow the tweezers to drop on any hard surface, as this will affect the calibration and the "grip". Lost grip eventually but lasted longer than cheaper ones
I use tweezers about every single morning and I found that pairs that often work well in the beginning eventually use their grip and don't pluck nearly as well. I saw several reviews saying that these tweezers did no such thing which is why I was willing to invest even though it was pricey in hopes of not having to keep repurchasing. Although the pair I've ordered does not pluck as well as they did new the tweezers lasted me several months longer than a cheaper pair would and I would say that if you do need to pluck regularly they're a good investment.
