It's okay, decent for the price

This perfume took some getting used to. I had high hopes based on the 'refreshing' scent profile, but the very first time I actually didn't love the scent. It smelled almost *too* clean and strong... like sweet cleaning solution? The more I trialed it, the more I got used to the initial scent, but a...t no point did I come to love it upon spraying or even after the immediate dry down. For context, I wear on my wrists and neck. This scent quickly fades in ~an hour and is much more pleasant after that initial fade, but then after 4+ hours the scent is barely there. At that point I can only smell it when I put my wrist right on top my nose-- I will acknowledge that when I do this after the scent has faded it does smell good... just unfortunately I'm the only one who can tell. So it's a bit of a conundrum. The first hour I'm not loving the scent > once it fades after an hour it smells nice > it fades so much a few hours later that it's almost undetectable. It makes me feel like I need to reapply every 4 hours for just a few hours of payoff in the middle where I'm actually enjoying the scent and able to detect it. I do appreciate the price point and find it reasonable for these scents. But going into a sweaty NYC summer, I wanted this to better linger on me, and smell more steadily clean/ fresh to give me an extra little boost of confidence as I'm moving throughout the day.
