Most Helpful Positive Review The smell alone is worth it
The smell alone made me happy. Then the hold was incredible. I have Davey hair that tends to do what it wants. I was looking for a hair spray that had a great hold, but didn't weigh my hair down. This was the hair spray that did it . It let my hair bounce while helping with the frizz. Plus, it's alcohol free, which keeps it from drying out my hair. I have decided to get more for friends and family.
Most Helpful Critical Review Don't waste your money.
1st let me say that I have NEVER written a review about anything good, or bad. I was really excited to try this because this is supposed to be an awesome brand that people seem to love. I have literally tried every hairspray out there...from cheap drugstore to high end expensive brands. Everything so far has dried out my hair, smelled awful, and/ or made me look like I was wearing a hair helmet for the nightly newscast. I want/need some pretty serious hold for my fine hair, but I don't want to look like I could withstand a wind tunnel ( if that makes sense). I guess I do expect a lot from a hairspray, especially if I'm paying that much money for it. The lady that talked me into buying it said it would hold even in humidity, which ia important to me living in TX. I tried this on a day that wasn't even that humid and not windy at all. The minute I got out of my car to walk inside a store while running errands my hair was totally flat! I sprayed a ton of this stuff on too. I will definitely be taking this back. It's probably great if you want a very light hold, but it didn't do what she said it would, and just didn't work for me. Sorry this is long. Hope it is helpful. Oh, and I usually tease my hair too for more volume, and it didn't hold that either. Honestly....Aussie works way better and only costs like $3.

When I use regular hair spray, my scalp itches. So I tried the alcohol free spray that Kenra makes and it doesn't itch any more, but still works effectively.
Not loving it - yet
Penski from Frankfort, IL
Only used 2x but so far not super happy. I made the switch from an a spray with alcohol to this to prevent drying. I may have to switch back.
I would not buy this product again
Ann from Raleigh, NC
The product was hard to spray and came out wet and extremely sticky. I had to actually wash it out of my hair. Was not a quality product.
Good product poor packaging

Just be sure to make sure it works.

I have very thick hair and it is hard to hold. I don't like a stiff hairspray so I thought I would try this one.
It is just too wet of a spray for me. It holds ok.
Carly from California
I love this hairspray! I have been trying to moisturize my hair for a long time. Using hydrating shampoos, several conditioners and my hair was still dry! Because of my hairspray! Not any more!!! Thanks to this hairspray without alcohol!! Yes, the sprayer gets clogged. It's easy to peel off or wash once in a while. I am purchasing two bottles and a travel size if available.

I traveled 1/2 hr to shop in store. I got home and tried to use hairspray and it has a faulty nozzle on it. Now I have to travel back to return it....not happy!
This stuff does not hold at all. Thinking of returning it.

Does not want to spray, does not spray where you position and after you do spray does not hold.
Great hairspray for colored/damaged hair
Cher from Norfolk, VA
I had a lot of issues with hair breakage due to highlighting. The alcohol hairspray I was using made the breakage worse. I finally found a hairspray without alcohol that doesn't break my hair! If the nozzle gets stopped up, just run it under warm water and it works 100% again. Compared to other hairsprays, it's a little more wet right after spraying, but it dries quickly. A little goes a long way. I'm not sure why some people are giving this hairspray bad reviews. I won't go back to alcohol hairspray after using Kendra alcohol-free.
Spray from Texarkana
Was looking for hair spray that didn't have alcohol. Tried other and thay made my hair flat. Kendra has good hold!!!
Takes some adjusting, but really great.

I've used Kenra 25 hairspray for years for my baby fine hair. I've always loved it because I could spray it then run my hands through it later and it would bounce back but not look stuck in place. I became concerned about using alcohol on my fragile hair, so I tried this. I hated it when I first used it, but then started to re-adjust my routine. I brush my hair to where I want it, spray very light amounts on my hair and let it dry for a couple of minutes then finish with a bit more. The key is to let it dry before you start running the comb/brush through it because the alcohol is what makes hairspray dry fast. The other key is to not use as much as you're used to. The hold is still amazing, but without the drying effects of the alcohol.
I would buy again!

Have used and like Kendra products. This is the first tome using this one. Love the control but the container seems to clog up for some reason at times

As a registered nurse during this crisis, I don't need one more product containing alcohol on my body! I am a hot mess of dryness with all of the sanitizing products I must use and don't need to use it in my hair!
New Formula — I'm returning it because:
KarenG from Land O Lakes, FL
I purchased this new formula because I love Kenya's 25 Hair Spray and have used it loyally with delight for well over two decades.
This NEW version wouldn't spray at first. I cleared the nozzle with hot running water. Once it began spraying, the formula came out in large wet sputters, like accidentally getting a quick spray of water on your styled hair, making it clump together under the heavy sprinkles, the sticky clumps were difficult and painful to comb out. My style was ruined. New Formula was a Fail. I had enough of the product to know the formula was sticky and the spray dispersed the product poorly.
I would buy this again

Hard to spray but like the hold without stiffness in hair !

Before using curling iron after drying.

It was so sticky/tacky on my hair, I could't get a comb through it.
This is not for me, irritates my scalp
Ok from 29206
Returning - I purchased because this was rated for sensitive skin. The scent is too strong.
I wish I could rate lower than 1 star

Honestly the worst garbage I've used including drug store brands. I'm a Kenra fan so figured alcohol free...healthy right? My hair looks like straw when I use this. And it sprays in a dripping clogged up way.
Apparently I can't return it, so in the trash it goes.
Left my hair tacky and dry
Becca from Aliso Viejo, CA
I purchased this because my Ulta store was out of stock on my usual #13 Kenra spray. I love the way that one smells. Anyways, I purchased this one, knowing it would have stronger hold, but with the added benefit of being "alcohol free" I thought - awesome, this will not dry my hair out. I got it home and as I used it a few times, I kept looking at the bottle to reconfirm that it was, in fact "alcohol free" and not "with extra alcohol" as it left my hair so dried out. The spray nozzle wasn't very powerful (I kept thinking it wasn't turned to ON all the way or maybe it was getting gunky with what little I had used of it), and it really was leaving my hair kindof tacky/sticky. Definitely a setting spray you don't want to touch style after using. But also, overall, it was leaving my hair SUPER DRY. Like I had taken a strong dry shampoo and doused it on my ends. Nope. I returned it. i gave it a 2 star because maybe it's just not for me and the intended user is out there somewhere. But I won't be getting it again.
terrible, sticky, gross
LisaDee from Bellevue, WA
At first it just makes my hair wet and releases any curl, or it kinks up any straightening I've done. Then it turns sticky and gross... if you run your fingers through your hair they will be sticky. It makes my hair flat and dirty, and makes it look dried out (which is the opposite of the point of alcohol free) Stick with the Kenra Volume 25 Finishing Spray, it's seriously the only hairspray of Kenra's I've had luck with.
This is exactly what my hair needed!
Lou from Midwest
So glad I found this! I actually had another hairspray in my hand to purchase and this I saw this!
keena from cleveland
i literally have never written a review before, but this product has compelled me to. i bought it because it was alcohol-free, my hair is super fine and can't handle much—so i figured this was one more way to spare my hair. however, whatever is in here that replaces alcohol is far worse. it completely changed the texture of my hair, it made it sticky and difficult to comb out, which actually damaged my hair further. definitely not worth the money, i'll be sticking with my alcohol.
Kitty from Tennessee
I bought this because it was alcohol free. However this stuff is very sticky it's awful. So I feel like when I go to brush my hair it's doing nothing but breaking it off. I would not buy or recommend this product to anyone. Unless you want to be washing your hair everyday I would not buy it. This is the only Kenra product I hate. The spray nozzle gets stopped up and half the time you cannot unclog it.
