Slip Pure Silk Large Scrunchies

These hair ties are slightly more costly than your average satin ones (these are silk), but I can feel a difference. They're extremely soft and gentle on my fragile, damaged 3a/3b hair. They can hold a ponytail firmly, but slip across the hair easily, so they don't get stuck or snagged. They don't tear my hair out. I feel they were a good investment.

So happy Ulta is finally carrying the slip brand. Love these scrunchies! Less damage on my hair than any other hair band or scrunchie.

I have been purchasing these from other stores for over a year and they're one of the few purchases I will say are worth the cost. I use these when I throw my hair up to cook, to take a body shower, wash my face, and workout. The only time I've noticed a bump in my hair after using this is when I've tied it extra tight and taken a long hot yoga class & not taken it out right after. Even after a hot yoga class the bump was manageable with light iron use. My hair doesn't pull or rip when I use this either. It's bigger than a standard hair tie but not something I find obnoxious. I've used them as the beach and found the sea water did some damage but I hand washed with a gentle cleaner and let it hang on the door knob and it was fine after. Just like any scrunchie it'll stretch out over time with excessive use but not so much not to be worthwhile. I twist it up 2-3 times and haven't needed to go a 4th yet, so I can't complain about longevity bc I've had mine since Christmas 2018. I've purchased more but I still keep the originals in my regular rotation. Now I'm just waiting for Ulta to carry the pillowcases too so I can rack up my Ulta points instead of buying elsewhere.
