Subtle shimmer, beautiful color and look.

This shimmer lip balm is pretty interesting. Before opening it, my first thought was that, wow, it looks expensive, and where and when would I wear this lip balm? After opening it, however, and seeing the shade, I determined that this lip balm would be great for everyday wear and also great for nigh...ts out, as it has subtle glitter embedded in it that makes it look dressy. The shade of the balm is a light dusty pink, so desert rose, I think, and it's quite beautiful. I struggled to figure out how to raise the balm stick, as twisting the balm, as you do with other similar tubes, didn't work. I eventually figured out that the bottom of the balm tube is like a pen, and you have to press down on the button to raise the balm repeatedly. I thought this was pretty unique, as I have never encountered such a way to use a lip balm before. However, I do think this will cause some issues down the line. For example, you can press it to raise the balm, but what happens if you raise it too much and then put the cap back on? You will lose some of the product that way. Also, for those who are fidgeters, I can imagine them unconsciously keeping press the button to relieve anxiety, which would waste the product. As for the balm itself, it melts like butter when applied to the lips. The balm is narrow enough to easily draw the balm onto your lips and not go outside your lip line. It immediately hydrates your lips and adds a subtle shimmer. I like how it doesn't highlight the fine lines of your lips. It does have some small transference, but it's not too bad. I applied this balm once, and I think it lasted for a few hours before I had to reapply. The color faded, but the feel of it didn't; my lips still felt soft and hydrated. My lips didn't have the dry feel they normally do after hours of lipstick or balm wear. I definitely recommend this product.
