For Classic Definition (accentuate eye shape):
- Starting at the inner corner of the eye, glide the tip of the liner across the lash line.
- Gradually widen the line as you reach the outer corner, ending in a subtle V-shape.
For Tightlining (strengthen the lash line and add natural definition):
- Glide the tip of the liner just above the waterline, depositing the ink precisely at the base of the lash line.
For Winged (elongate, modify, and exaggerate eye shape):
- Glide the tip of the liner across the lid, creating a seamless line.
- Begin your wing close to the lower lashes at a diagonal angle, following the upward curve of the upper lash line and extending outward for eye-lifting action.
For Doe-Eyed (wide-eyed effect):
- Apply a thin stroke of liner across the center of the upper lash line, followed by an equally-precise line along the bottom lashes.

I'll Stick to Drugstore Eyeliner
I heard so much about this eyeliner from friends, and so I thought I'd suck it up and pay the higher cost than I'm used to. I'm sadly disappointed. The applicator is dry as a bone from the tip to to the base! I have to press hard just to get a small amount of product. Oh, and forget gliding effort...

I bit the b$llet, last year, and bought this. I do not normally spend this type of money on eyeliner, but I was frustrated with all the others I have tried, I figured I would give it a shot. I have not been disappointed, esp in south FL!! I have hooded eyes so, I need to ensure that I do not open my eye up all the way for a few minutes, so it does not get on my lid.
I think there was a bad batch?
I have used this eyeliner for a couple years but have always bought it from Pat McGrath. Love it! But the one I got earlier this year from Ulta was bone dry and nothing like what I have received in the past. Try ordering directly from Pat McGrath.

When I finally crafted some type of wing and started my day, I noticed 3 hrs later that my wing was transferred to the bottom and upper lash. Total smudge city!! How embarrassing!! For reference, I'm an avid eyeliner user and I've used Kat Von D, Sex Kitten, Benefit and a few of the others that folks claim are amazing. I hate that I can't find a reliable eyeliner, becuase they keep changing the formulas!!!
Don't bother
Did I get a defective product? Brand new and hardly anything comes out of applicator. After vigorously shaking managed to apply and it didn't last the work day. Extremely disappointed as this was expensive and am totally underwhelmed. Do not recommend!
Perfect for everyday wear, even for hooded eyes
I have hooded eyes that water frequently, and this is my go-to for everyday. If I'm full crying or if I actively rub at it, it won't last, but it applies SO easily and won't smudge like most eyeliners do unless I touch it. Pictures are after 9 hours.
