Not opaque splotchy and not really black
If you want a slight wash of dead color ok cool but if you actually wanted a black lip don't even buy it. It's so splotchy and shear not black at all. it feels nice but that's about it .
Neither Matte nor Black
As noted by other reviews this is more of a glossy sheer grey balm. If you are looking for a smokey balm to go over lip liner it kind of works but there are better products for that. Does not layer well and globs up in patches and streaks.
Awesome black lipstick
I don't ubderstand the negative reviews for this product. Like all of the Fat Matte lipsticks, its lightweight and buttery, feels great on the lips. The color is not sheer or patchy in ny experience, its a nice rich black. Would definitely purchase again.
Disappointing
Like the other reviews, disappointed in how sheer this actually applies. Cant build it up at all, it ends up just wiping itself away. It also is not a matte finish, it has a slight sheen that doesnt dry. I also bought Toasty Taupe and it goes on so even and soft matte, so not sure how this shade has such a different result. Stick with the regular lipstick if you want an opaque black lip.
